Abstract

This study discusses the dynamics of the management of the waqf land inherited from the Islamic King of Demak Bintaro, Fatahilah, in the form of 350 ha of productive land managed by the Mosque Welfare Agency (BKM) of Demak Regency for the benefit of the community. This study aims to study the diversity of waqf asset management models and their distribution patterns framed in a productive waqf model in line with the provisions of Law No. 41 of 2004 and Government Regulation (PP) No. 42 of 2006 concerning waqf. This study is classified as qualitative which examines Nāzir's activities in managing waqf according to the perspective of Islamic law. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and historical documents, books and related articles. This study concludes that there is a development of management patterns by Nāzir from traditional to semi-professional dynamic governance. This is implemented through the development of a productive economy for waqf land in the form of land auctions and the construction of shophouses, and lodgings for rent. The results are distributed to several segments such as mosques and Qur'an Education Parks (TPQ), schools and graves, including for the commemoration of the royal family haul, maintenance and operational costs of the mosque, and the tomb of the Demak Sultanate.

Abstract

This article analyzes the concept of moral education presented in Ibn al-Qayyim’s “Risālah ilā Aḥadi Ikhwānihi,” a concise yet profound work that encapsulates essential principles of spiritual refinement and character formation in Islamic thought. Using a qualitative library research method, this study examines the central educational ideas of the risālah and connects them with contemporary Islamic educational discourse. The findings indicate that Ibn al-Qayyim structures moral education upon four fundamental pillars: patience (ṣabr), certainty (yaqīn), love of God (maḥabbah), and spiritual striving (mujāhadah). These pillars form an integrated framework that strengthens intellectual understanding, emotional stability, and spiritual awareness. The risālah further emphasizes the crucial role of tazkiyah al-nafs (purification of the soul), the unity of knowledge and action, and the transformative power of sincere worship in shaping a Muslim’s character. The study concludes that the educational values articulated in this work offer significant relevance for modern Islamic education, particularly within pesantren, tahfiz institutions, and character-based Islamic learning environments. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji dan mengembangkan model integrasi nilai-nilai tauhid dalam pembelajaran sains berdasarkan pemikiran pendidikan Ibnu Khaldun serta menganalisis implementasinya di SD Integral Luqman Al-Hakim Surabaya. Permasalahan utama yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah masih menguatnya dikotomi ilmu pengetahuan dalam pendidikan Islam kontemporer, yang cenderung menghasilkan peserta didik dengan kompetensi kognitif yang baik namun kurang seimbang dalam dimensi spiritual dan etika. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain analisis pemikiran tokoh dan studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui analisis karya Ibnu Khaldun, khususnya konsep klasifikasi ilmu dan teori pembelajaran Malakah serta At-Tadrij, serta melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi pada pembelajaran sains di SD Integral Luqman Al-Hakim Surabaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemikiran Ibnu Khaldun memberikan landasan epistemologis yang kuat bagi integrasi ilmu agama dan ilmu sains, dengan menempatkan sains sebagai sarana untuk memahami sunnatullah dan memperkuat kesadaran tauhid. Model integrasi yang dikembangkan mencakup tiga dimensi utama, yaitu ontologis, epistemologis, dan aksiologis tauhid, yang diimplementasikan dalam tujuan pembelajaran, materi ajar, strategi pembelajaran, dan evaluasi pembelajaran sains. Implementasi model di SD Integral Luqman Al-Hakim Surabaya menunjukkan potensi positif dalam membentuk pemahaman holistik peserta didik terhadap sains sebagai manifestasi kebesaran Allah SWT. Namun demikian, penelitian ini juga menemukan sejumlah tantangan, terutama terkait konsistensi integrasi dalam perangkat ajar dan peningkatan kompetensi guru. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis bagi pengembangan pendidikan Islam serta kontribusi praktis sebagai acuan bagi lembaga pendidikan dalam mengimplementasikan pembelajaran sains berbasis tauhid secara lebih sistematis dan berkelanjutan.
