Abstract

The absence of symptoms causes hypertensive patients to tend to ignore and not control hypertension. The family becomes a support system in the lives of hypertension patients who require long-term and continuous care. The aim of the research was to determine the relationship between family support and medication adherence in hypertensive patients at Puskesmas Sawahan Kabupaten Nganjuk. This research design uses correlational analytics with an observational approach. This research was conducted at Puskesmas Sawahan Kabupaten Nganjuk. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire containing questions about family support and Morisky medication adherence (MMAS). The sample was selected by consecutive sampling and 30 respondents were obtained. The research results showed that almost half had good family support (46.7%) and most were compliant with taking medication (63.3%). Based on the Spearman's Rho Test statistical test, it shows that the ρ value = 0.002 < α (0.05), which means Ha is accepted so it can be concluded, there is a relationship between family support and adherence to taking medication for hypertension at Puskesmas Sawahan Kabupaten Nganjuk.

This study aims to determine the relationship between caring behavior of inpatient nurses and the level of satisfaction of inpatients at Lavalette Hospital, Malang. The research design used in this study was observational analytic with a cross-sectional study approach with a sample size of 80 respondents with non-probability sampling through a purposive sampling approach. Data analysis used to analyze the relationship between caring nurses and the level of satisfaction using Spearman's rho analysis where both variables are ordinal. The test results showed that most nurses had provided good caring and patients were also very satisfied with the services provided (72.5%). From the test results, ρ = 0.000 was obtained, meaning ρ <0.05, this shows a significant relationship between caring nurses and the level of patient satisfaction in the inpatient room of Lavalette Hospital, Malang City. The application of caring behavior for a nurse can affect the level of patient satisfaction. So the higher the caring nurse, the higher the level of patient satisfaction

Abstract

Abstract

Diabetes is characterized by hyperglycemia due to insulin deficiency or resistance, causing chronic complications in various organs. Poor sleep quality can worsen insulin resistance and increase the risk of complications of diabetes. This study analyzes the correlation between sleep quality and blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes at Dr. Chasan Boesoirie Regional Public Hospital, North Maluku. This study used a cross-sectional design. It was conducted from June 2024 to July 2024 at Dr. Chasan Boesoirie Regional Public Hospital. The population was 800 patients with type 2 diabetes at Dr. Chasan Boesoirie Ternate Hospital. There were 89 respondents by consecutive sampling. The instruments used the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) for sleep quality and GlucoDr for blood glucose levels. Data analysis used the Chi-Square test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed that most respondents had moderate sleep quality, with 54 respondents (60.7%). In addition, most respondents have blood glucose levels in the poor category, with blood sugar levels >160 mg/dL, as many as 59 respondents (66.3%). The Chi-Square statistical test analysis showed a p=0.011 (p<0.05). Thus, there was a correlation between sleep quality and blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetes patients. In conclusion, sleep quality correlates with blood glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes at Dr. Chasan Boesoirie Regional Public Hospital, North Maluku. Further research should explore other factors affecting blood glucose control in people with type 2 diabetes.
