Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of individual psychological characteristics (locus of control, propensity to take risk, self-confidence, need for achievement, tolerance of ambiguity, and innovation) on social entrepreneurial intentions with gender control variables of Accounting Education students throughout Indonesia. The theory used is Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). The population is 12.503 therefore, measurement sample used amounted to 372 who were Accounting Education students throughout Indonesia. Data collection with a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques using structural equation modeling (SEM) with Smart PLS 3 because, Smart PLS 3 can to measure the little population. The results showed that locus of control, self confidence, need for achievement, and innovation have a positive and significant influence on social entrepreneurial intentions, while propensity to take risk and tolerance of ambiguity do not. On the other hand, it was found that there is no significant difference in social entrepreneurial intention from the aspect of gender. It is recommended that the educational curriculum, especially in Accounting, integrate aspects of individual psychological characteristics into learning programs to increase student interest in social entrepreneurship.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the mediating role of entrepreneurial attitudes on the relationship between risk-taking tendencies and entrepreneurial intentions by using family's background as a control variable. The theory used is the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB). The population amounted to 244 students so that the sample size used amounted to 152 students of economic education at the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Data collection using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with Smart PLS 3 because Smart PLS 3 can measure a small population. The results showed that the tendency to take risks has no effect on entrepreneurial intentions, the tendency to take risks has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial attitudes, entrepreneurial attitudes have no effect on entrepreneurial intentions, entrepreneurial attitudes do not mediate the effect of risk-taking tendencies on entrepreneurial intentions, and there are no significant differences in entrepreneurial intentions in terms offamily background.

Abstract

This quantitative study seeks to explore the influence of personal traits and university support for green entrepreneurial intentions, while also considering gender as a control variable. The research population comprises 244 students, with a sample size of 152 students enrolled in economic education at the University of Education Indonesia. The theory used is the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA). Data collection using a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques with structural equation modeling (SEM) with Smart PLS 3. The results of this study indicate that personal traits and university green entrepreneurial intention support have a positive and significant influence on green entrepreneurial intention. In addition, it was found that there is no difference in green entrepreneurial intention from the aspect of gender. It is suggested that it involves developing educational programs to form personal traits and strengthening university support, with industry collaboration for an environmentally sound environment. PLS was chosen as the analysis method because it is suitable for small sample sizes, model complexity, focus on prediction, and consideration of control variables such as gender. It is expected to provide an in-depth understanding of the factors that influence green entrepreneurial intention among university students.
