Abstract

PT. PQR is a sugar factory company whose facilities are distributed unevenly throughout the factory, making the workers in the production division not very clean and organized. The research aims to identify problems in the work environment and provide suggestions regarding the issues found. Therefore, a method is needed to determine the work environment, namely 5S+Safety, using tools like a 6S assessment form for each aspect. The results obtained were 2.808, which means that the activities needed to be carried out more, and only a tiny part of the 6S was carried out. For short, with a value of 1.75; for set in order, with a value of 2.4; for shine, with a value of 2.8; for standardize, with a value of 3.2; for sustain, with a value of 3.4; and finally safety, with a value of 3. This research was used to determine the cultural conditions and work environment that can be used as evaluation material for this company to create a clean, comfortable, and safe work environment.

Abstract

The Netraku application is aimed at the visually impaired who want to know the name of an object or the writing of an object or printed media, as well as knowing the nominal currency conveyed via voice in the application. The application works by pointing the camera at the object or currency you want to see the name or amount of. The Netraku application will detect it, and a voice will appear stating the information you want to convey. The problem found is that the Netraku application has not carried out usability testing for blind users. Therefore, it is necessary to develop usability testing to obtain user needs from the Netraku application, determine the effectiveness and efficiency values, and provide recommendations that can be applied to the Netraku application. The methods used in usability testing are performance measurement, focus group discussion, and participatory design. The results obtained on the effectiveness value received a success rate of 83.33% and a failure rate of 16.7%, concluding that the user can complete the task effectively. The efficiency value obtained from the average processing time is 10.34 seconds.

Abstract

PERUMDA Tirta Anai is a regional company engaged in the distribution of water supplied throughout Padang Pariaman Regency. This company already has an information system through social media, by sharing informational posts with customers, as well as a complaint hotline which function as channels for customers to report issues. However, this system still has shortcomings, namely a lack of quick response in addressing customer problems, as well as limitations in conveying detailed information, which tends to be fragmented across social media, the complaint hotlineg. To address these issues, the SobatTirta Application was designed to facilitate access to the services provided by PERUMDA Tirta Anai through various features. The method used is descriptive qualitative with the design of the SobatTirta Application prototype. The results show that the application design can be beneficial for both customers and PERUMDA Tirta Anai. Therefore, the design of the SobatTirta Application is expected to enhance service satisfaction and provide further information for Tirta Anai customers.
