Abstract

Abstract

In a highly competitive market, maintaining high product quality is essential for maintaining customer satisfaction and loyalty. Producers are famous in East Java and face the challenge of ensuring consistent quality products through strict production processes. Know that as easy products broken and soft, needy control of careful quality to meet hope consumers about freshness, texture, and quality in a way whole. Although traditional control methods often fail to overcome the production complex that causes a disabled product. This research proposes integrating Statistical Process Control (SPC), Ishikawa diagrams, and Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) to improve control quality. SPC makes it possible to monitor and control production processes in real-time, identify deviations, and repair deviations. However, the SPC limitations include a focus on quantitative data and post-incident detection problems. To overcome root problems, the Ishikawa diagram categorizes the reasons for potency as material, machine, method, power work, and environment. ISM prioritizes action repair based on impact and relationship. Approach This integrated approach provides comprehensive solutions to improve the quality of knowledge. In this study, the control process quality was evaluated using SPC, the cause of defects was identified using Ishikawa diagrams, and priority action repair was performed via ISM. Findings show that SPC directly effectively monitors process control, the Ishikawa diagram identifies main defects, and ISM prioritizes impactful action improvements, emphasizes excessive additions to subtraction materials, and improves health workers’ and mixing process material standards. Approach integrated possible identification of additional problems and improved the quality strategic makes a significant contribution to enhancing product quality knowledge.

Abstract

Good work environment conditions can affect the increase in worker productivity. One of the work environment factors that needs to be considered is distraction. Noise problems not only interfere with concentration but can also damage workers' hearing and reduce overall work safety. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the noise level in the work area in the production process of a company engaged in the metal casting industry and provide recommendations that can reduce the negative impact on the workforce. This measurement uses Decibel X with a time interval of five seconds, and then data processing is carried out to determine the LTm5 value. The measurement results show that the level of disturbance in some work areas exceeds the recommended threshold, increasing the risk of worker health problems. To reduce this negative impact, the study provides the provision of personal protective equipment (PPE), such as earplugs, as well as the implementation of occupational safety and health (OHS) socialization. This research makes an essential contribution to the management of nuisance risks in industrial environments, especially in improving worker safety and health through effective mitigation strategies.

Abstract

This study addresses the issue of controlling the inventory of raw materials for pen production at PT. XYZ uses Material Requirement Planning (MRP) to minimize excess inventory. The MRP calculates net requirements, planned receipts, planned order releases, and projected on-hand inventory based on estimated demand, product structure, lot size, lead time, and safety stock.  The results categorize 20 raw material components for ballpoint pen products into five levels, determining the optimal quantity and timing for ordering and receiving each component to meet production plans while avoiding excess stock or shortages. This study concludes that the MRP method can significantly optimize inventory management, reducing the risks of overstock and stockouts in the pen production process at PT. XYZ. Consistent application of the MRP method and regular evaluation of supplier capabilities are recommended to ensure efficient and effective raw material inventory planning and control.
