Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konsep personal branding dalam Al-Qur'an melalui perspektif Tafsir Al-Misbah karya Quraish Shihab. Personal branding, yang umumnya dipahami sebagai upaya individu untuk membangun citra diri yang kuat dan konsisten di hadapan publik, dalam konteks Al-Qur'an dapat diartikan sebagai upaya seorang Muslim untuk menampilkan identitas diri yang selaras dengan nilai-nilai keislaman. Tafsir Al-Misbah, yang dikenal dengan pendekatan kontekstual dan relevan dengan kehidupan modern, menjadi sumber utama dalam penelitian ini untuk menggali bagaimana Al-Qur'an membimbing individu dalam membentuk identitas dan citra diri yang baik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan analisis teks, khususnya analisis tafsir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Al-Qur'an mendorong pembentukan personal branding yang didasarkan pada nilai-nilai ketakwaan, kejujuran, dan integritas, serta pentingnya konsistensi antara ucapan dan perbuatan dalam menciptakan citra diri yang positif dan dihormati. Abstract This study aims to examine the concept of personal branding in the Qur'an through the perspective of Tafsir Al-Misbah by Quraish Shihab. Personal branding, which is generally understood as an individual's effort to build a strong and consistent self-image in front of the public, in the context of the Qur'an can be interpreted as an effort by a Muslim to display a self-identity that is in line with Islamic values. Tafsir Al-Misbah, which is known for its contextual approach and relevance to modern life, is the main source in this study to explore how the Qur'an guides individuals in forming a good identity and self-image. This study uses a qualitative method with a text analysis approach, especially interpretation analysis. The results of the study show that the Qur'an encourages the formation of personal branding based on the values ​​of piety, honesty, and integrity, as well as the importance of consistency between words and deeds in creating a positive and respected self-image.

Abstract

The Qur'an provides guidance through stories, including the story of Ashabul Kahfi in Surah Al-Kahfi Verses 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 19, 20, 21 which describes communication between the young men in difficult situations. This study aims to examine the concept of communication in the story, including the form, value, and scope of communication carried out by the young Ashabul Kahfi. The method used is the Tahlili Method, by analyzing the meaning of the verses, asbabun nuzul, munasabah between verses, as well as the mufradat and beauty of the Arabic language in the verses. The results of this study indicate that the story of Ashabul Kahfi contains types of communication in the form of verbal when discussing between young men, and non-verbal when running away from King Diqyanus. The form of communication in this story includes transcendental communication in the form of prayer to Allah. In addition to the types of communication in the story of Ashabul Kahfi, the author also found the principle of their honesty when communicating with King Diqyanus when asking about their faith, so that it can give birth to a concept of communication that prioritizes honesty, courage and solidarity.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of Qolbun Salim in the Qur’an through a comparative tafsir (muqāran) analysis between Tafsir al-Kabir/Mafatih al-Ghaib by Fakhruddin al-Razi and Tafsir al-Mishbah by M. Quraish Shihab. The research adopts a qualitative approach using library research, focusing on primary sources such as the Qur’an and the two tafsir works, as well as secondary sources including books, scholarly articles, and related Islamic literature. The analysis compares relevant Qur’anic verses, hadith, and scholars’ interpretations to identify similarities and differences. The findings reveal that Fakhruddin al-Razi defines Qolbun Salim as a heart free from spiritual diseases, polytheism, and hypocrisy, fully devoted to Allah. Quraish Shihab interprets it as a heart safe from moral and spiritual corruption, characterized by sincerity, tranquility, and obedience to Allah. Both agree that Qolbun Salim is a prerequisite for salvation in the Hereafter, but they differ in emphasizing theological versus psychological aspects. In conclusion, this study highlights the importance of heart purification in enhancing a Muslim’s spiritual and moral quality.
