Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine the effectiveness of applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by 3D Webbook integrated with Environmental Learning in improving students' critical thinking skills on global warming material. Method: This study used a pre-experiment method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research subjects consisted of two classes (X-1 and X-2), each comprising 36 students, selected through purposive sampling technique. The instruments used included a critical thinking skills test in the form of descriptive questions and an observation sheet to assess the implementation of learning syntax. The validity of the device was assessed by experts using a five-point scale and the reliability test was carried out using SPSS with the Cronbach's Alpha formula. Results: (1) The average pretest scores of classes X-1 and X-2 were 35.61 and 33.11, respectively, increasing to 85.11 and 83.78 on the posttest.  (2) N-gain scores in both classes were categorized as high.  (3) Syntax implementation reached an average of 93%. Novelty: This research introduces an innovation by integrating the PBL model with digital technology through a 3D Webbook combined with Environmental Learning. This integration enables flexible access to materials without requiring large file downloads and contextualizes relevant environmental issues to support the development of 21st-century critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Learning media was used to explain the theory and minimize misconceptions. 50% of physics teachers in East Java have difficulty creating learning media of circular motion. Therefore, researchers created an innovation learning media and analyze the perception of physics teachers to Arduino-based "Rotating Wheel" learning media (ABRW). This research used R&D design with a 4-D model. The subjects were 24 physics teachers throughout East Java and 35 students’s XII MA Jabal Noer, Sidoarjo. The instruments used the form of teacher and student response questionnaires and material expert validation sheets. The data analysis is the calculation of the average value of validation results. The result from the physics teacher's and student response more than 65.8% and 75% in very positive category and validation more than 85% with a very valid categori. Thus, it was concluded ABRW props are feasible to use as well as learning physics in a circular motion topic. Keywords: arduino, circular motion topic, learning media. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i2.pp821-831

Abstract

The main issue raised in this study is the tendency of students to rely on memorizing physics formulas without understanding the relationships between quantities and their dimensions. This study aims to explore the use of the dimensional analysis approach as a tool for understanding and deriving the relationships between physical quantities in various types of motion, including oscillatory motion, free fall motion, and parabolic motion. Exploratory and conceptual analysis methods were used in this study with a descriptive approach. In addition, an attitude scale instrument was used to measure students’ perceptions, which has been shown to be valid (0.80–0.92) and reliable (α = 0.89). The results show that the equations obtained through dimensional analysis are consistent with theoretical equations. This confirms that the approach is capable of correctly identifying the form of physical relationships, although it cannot yet determine the numerical constants precisely. In addition, student responses show a positive attitude towards the dimensional analysis approach, which is considered a new, useful, and efficient way of solving physics problems. However, students also recognized the limitations of this method in producing exact solutions due to the existence of arbitrary constants. These findings indicate that dimensional analysis is a scientifically robust and pedagogically valuable approach that can strengthen conceptual understanding. Thus, the application of the dimensional analysis approach in physics learning can help students find solutions logically and systematically.

Abstract

This article discusses the welfare and protection of workers with an outsourcing system in terms of the contemporary Islamic law maqashid sharia. Based on the provisions in Article 66 of Regulation No.11 of 2020 on Job Creation, it is no longer stated regarding the limitations of work that are prohibited from being carried out by workers with an outsourcing system. The provisions in Regulation Number 11 of 2020 on Job Creation allow for no time limit for outsourced workers, so workers can be outsourced indefinitely, even for life. This protection is carried out before, during and after work. This research is normative legal research using a statutory approach as well as a review of Islamic law which uses literature study as a data collection method and is analyzed through an analytical descriptive method. The provisions in Law Number 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation allow for no time limit for outsourced workers, so workers can be outsourced indefinitely, even for life. Based on the maqashid sharia of the Minister of Manpower Regulation No. 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation related to the protection of labor, the outsourcing system is not in accordance with the indicators in the contemporary maqashid al-syari'ah which is based on sustainable justice by paying attention to aspects of social welfare and poverty elimination.
