Abstract

This research aims to provide insights to the management of Dr. M. Djamil Padang General Hospital regarding the factors contributing to the decrease in incident reports, enabling the determination of follow-up steps, including policies aligned with the Analysis of Patient Safety Incident Reporting (PSIR) at Dr. M. Djamil Padang General Hospital in 2022. Method: This study employed a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative and qualitative methods using a sequential explanatory design. The study population consisted of nursing staff in selected service units through proportionate random sampling, with five individuals participating in the qualitative research. Results: The implementation of the reporting system at Dr. M. Djamil Padang General Hospital was neither efficient nor optimal. Although health professionals submitted incident reports manually or directly through the application, the number of patient safety incident reports in 2022 showed a significant decrease, totaling 1,882 incidents compared with the previous year's 8,421 incidents. Barriers to incident reporting include motivation and fear, whereas knowledge regarding incident types and reporting is generally good. Conclusion: Quantitative research results indicate that respondents’ knowledge of patient safety incidents is relatively good, with over 50% answering questions related to patient safety incidents correctly. Qualitative research findings revealed obstacles contributing to the decline in patient safety incident reporting, including respondent motivation, workload, and fear.

Abstract

Job satisfaction is basically about what makes someone happy in their job. Factors that affect job satisfaction include cultural factors and organizational factors. leadership style is one that supports the achievement of employee job satisfaction. With an effective leadership style, it will be able to foster a good safety culture and can increase employee job satisfaction. RSUD Prof. H. Muhammad Yamin, SH is one of the hospitals owned by the government of West Sumatra Province located in the city of Pariaman. This study used a mixed-method method with a sequential explanatory approach to 110 employee respondents and research informants determined by simple random sampling and purposive sampling techniques. Data collection was obtained from questionnaires, in-depth interviews, observation, and document review. The data analysis used is Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results showed that there was a significant relationship between leadership style and safety culture, as well as safety culture on job satisfaction with p values of 0.000 and 0.000, respectively. Meanwhile, leadership style is not related to job satisfaction with a p value> 0.05. Leadership style has a relationship with job satisfaction through the mediating variable of safety culture with a p value of 0.000. Other factors that influence employee job satisfaction at Prof. H. Muhammad Yamin Hospital, SH are social factors, environmental factors, and financial factors. There is a relationship between leadership style and employee job satisfaction through the mediation of safety culture.

Abstract

Dalam menghadapi transformasi teknologi informasi di rumah sakit, evaluasi sistem informasi manajemen menjadi satu aspek penting untuk memastikan efektivitas, efisiensi dan kesesuaian sistem dalam mendukung operasional dam pelayanan pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis tujuan teknologi informasi yang relevan di Semen Padang Hospital dengan menggunakan framework COBIT 2019. COBIT 2019 adalah suatu kerangka kerja yang dirancang untuk membantu organisasi dalam mengatur dan mengelola informasi dan teknologi secara efektif.  Metode penelitian dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan pimpinan terkait dalam implementasi SIMRS dengan mengikuti alur desain tata kelola COBIT 2019. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa objektif proses dengan nilai tertinggi adalah EDM03 (Optimalisasi Risiko), APO12 (Manajemen Risiko) dan APO13 (Manajemen Keamanan). Implikasi dari studi ini memberikan wawasan tentang prioritas tujuan teknologi informasi yang dapat meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan SIMRS. Studi ini juga memberikan rekomendasi untuk perbaikan lebih lanjut, serta saran agar penelitian berikutnya dapat melakukan  evaluasi tingkat kemampuan SIMRS berdasarkan proses yang ada pada COBIT 2019.
