Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning using the Discovery Learning Learning Model. This study is a classroom action research that uses four steps, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were elementary school students. The data for this study were obtained by test and observation techniques. Tests are used to measure learning outcomes and observations are used to analyze teacher and student learning activities. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive statistics by comparing the results obtained with indicators of research success. The results of the study indicate that the Discovery Learning Learning Model can improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning. This can be seen from the increase in the percentage of student learning completion in each cycle with details of the pre-cycle 40.89%, the first cycle 68.87% and in the second cycle increased to 90.32%. Thus, the Discovery Learning Learning Model can be used as an alternative to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning.

Abstract

This study aims to Improve Student Learning Outcomes in Islamic Education Through the Problem Based Learning Model. This study is a classroom action research that uses four steps, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were elementary school students. The data for this study were obtained by test and observation techniques. Tests are used to improve student learning outcomes in developing a character of mutual respect and observation is used to analyze teacher and student learning activities. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive statistics by comparing the results obtained with indicators of research success. The results of the study indicate that Learning through the Problem Based Learning Model can improve learning outcomes. This can be seen from the increase in the percentage of completeness of improving student ability results in each cycle with details of the pre-cycle 45.54%, the first cycle 78.57% and in the second cycle increased to 89.57%. Thus, learning through the Problem Based Learning Model can be used as an alternative to improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstrak: Seiring dengan perkembangan zaman dan teknologi, maka bertambah pula inovasi dan kreasi baru dalam batu bata merah mulai dari bahan dan cara pembuatannya pun bermacam-macam. Batu bata merah adalah batu buatan yang terbuat dari tanah liat dengan bahan tambahan atau tanpa bahan tambahan yang memiliki kualitas atau mutu yang berbeda-beda. Pemanfaatan limbah yang sering digunakan pada campuran batu bata merah seperti serbuk kayu dan juga sekam padi. Serbuk kayu merupakan bahan berpori sehingga air mudah terserap dan mengisi pori-pori sedangkan sekam padi merupakan hasil samping saat proses penggilingan padi dan menghasilkan limbah yang cukup banyak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan kuat tekan dan pengaruh penambahan limbah serbuk kayu dan sekam padi pada batu bata merah dengan varasi 0%, 10%, dan 25%. Metode Penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen serta berdasarkan Standar Nasional Indonesia yang berlaku. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan, untuk variasi 0 % kuat tekan rata-rata sebesar 1,63 N/mm2, untuk variasi 10 % kuat tekan rata-rata limbah serbuk kayu sebesar 1,22 N/mm2 sedangkan kuat tekan rata-rata sekam padi sebesar 1,11 N/mm2 dan variasi 25 % kuat tekan rata-rata limbah serbuk kayu sebesar 1,08 N/mm2 sedangkan kuat tekan rata-rata sekam padi sebesar 1,04 N/mm2. Sedangkan pengaruh penambahan limbah serbuk kayu dan sekam padi dengan persentase komposisi 0%, 10%, 25% dapat mempengaruhi sifat mekanik batu bata merah yaitu semakin lama pembakaran dan semakin tinggi variasi persentasi maka semakin menurun kuat tekan batu bata merah.
