Abstract

Students need to be trained in high-level thinking skills in order to be able to build an understanding of mathematics and be able to solve it. Based on the results of observations, there are still many students who are not active in the learning process, for example they do not ask teachers about the material being taught. The purpose of the study is to determine the critical thinking ability of students in solving problems in fractions. The type of research used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Observation, tests and interviews are the methods used to collect data. The research data was analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study showed that the critical thinking ability of grade V students of SDN 1 Peukan Bada in solving fractional problems was divided into three categories, namely high, medium and low. Students think highly with a figure of 16%. Students have medium thinking skills of 8% and low 76%.

Abstract

In the Qur'an, verses are also found that show the importance of facilities and infrastructure or tools in education. In the context of Islamic education, educational tools must contain operational values that are able to deliver to the goals of Islamic education that are full of indigo values. These values are of course based on the existence of the basis or characteristics of Islamic education itself. The approach of this research is qualitative. The type of research used is a literature study. The data collection technique in this study is by documentation. The data analysis technique used is content analysis. The context of the management of facilities and infrastructure from an Islamic perspective is found in the interpretation of the Qur'an Surah An-Nahl (16) verses 68-69 which maps the concept of building the division of labor in arranging infrastructure facilities so that they are effective and on target so that in their implementation they are in accordance with their use value and then strengthened by the hadith of the Prophet PBUH. The inventory of facilities and infrastructure is contained in the interpretation of Surah Al-Baqarah (2) verse 282. Supervision of facilities and infrastructure is contained in the interpretation of surah Al-Mujaadillah (58) verse 7.

Abstract

The development of social problems in society and the world of education is increasingly complex. One way to unravel the existing problems is to use research. One of the studies that can be used is mixed research (Combination). In a research, a combination of theory and research methodology is needed so that research objectives are created, namely positive contribution, namely solving problems faced by the research object. The type of research used is a literature study. The data collection technique in this study is by documentation. Data collection techniques are carried out in several stages, namely: 1) Identification of data sources, 2) Literature collection, 3) Literature review and synthesis. The data analysis technique used is content analysis. The results of the study explain that combination research is a research that combines and correlates qualitative and quantitative forms. The combination method consists of sequential, concurrent and transformative mixed methods. The concurrent transformative method in the design of the mixed research method is one part of the mixed research method.

Abstract

Social Studies (IPS) learning in elementary schools plays a crucial role in shaping students' character and concern for the social and natural environment. This study aims to examine various literature on the use of natural media in social studies learning to foster students' social and ecological awareness. Natural media, such as soil, water, plants, rocks, and the environmental conditions around the school, serve not only as learning aids but also as a means to instill the values of social empathy, responsibility, and environmental preservation. This literature review was conducted by reviewing 25 relevant scientific articles, reference books, and research reports published between 2018 and 2024. The results of the study indicate that the use of natural media in social studies learning contextually and thematically can improve students' understanding of the relationship between humans and their environment, strengthen students' emotional involvement in social and ecological issues, and encourage students to actively participate in concrete actions to protect the environment. In addition, natural media strengthens experiential learning, which supports the achievement of the Independent Curriculum competencies. This study recommends that teachers design integrative and reflective learning strategies based on natural media to create a generation with social and ecological awareness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terhadap materi perkalian desimal. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas V SDN 58 Banda Aceh, khususnya dalam memahami konsep perkalian desimal yang selama ini diajarkan secara konvensional dan kurang melibatkan siswa secara aktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimen dengan desain one-shot case study, di mana siswa diberikan perlakuan melalui pembelajaran berbasis PBL dan kemudian diuji menggunakan post-test. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa data post-test tidak berdistribusi normal, sehingga dilakukan uji Wilcoxon Signed-Rank. Nilai signifikansi p = 0.001 < 0.05 menunjukkan bahwa model PBL efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman perkalian desimal siswa. Pembelajaran melalui PBL mampu menciptakan proses belajar yang lebih kontekstual, aktif, dan bermakna sehingga siswa tidak hanya menghafal, tetapi juga memahami konsep secara mendalam. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan PBL dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk mendorong keterlibatan siswa dan meningkatkan hasil belajar secara signifikan.AbstractThis study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in improving students’ understanding of decimal multiplication. The background of the research stems from the low learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 58 Banda Aceh, particularly in mastering decimal multiplication, which has been traditionally taught using conventional methods that lack student engagement. This study employed a pre-experimental method with a one-shot case study design, in which students received instruction through PBL and were then assessed using a post-test. The analysis showed that the post-test data were not normally distributed; therefore, the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test was used. The test result yielded a significance value of p = 0.001 < 0.05, indicating that the PBL model was effective in enhancing students' understanding of decimal multiplication. PBL fostered a contextual, active, and meaningful learning process, enabling students not only to memorize procedures but also to deeply comprehend mathematical concepts. The study recommends the implementation of PBL in mathematics instruction to promote student engagement and significantly improve learning outcomes.

Abstract

Instilling national values from an early age is crucial for shaping the character of a young generation who love their homeland. One strategic effort is to integrate local wisdom into Social Studies (IPS) learning in elementary schools. This study aims to describe the integration of local wisdom into the IPS curriculum and its impact on fostering patriotism among students at Kuala 3 Public Elementary School. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach using observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results indicate that introducing local values such as customs, folklore, traditional ceremonies, and local figures in IPS lessons can foster a sense of pride and belonging in one's own cultural identity. Teachers play a central role in designing learning materials that are contextual and relevant to the surrounding environment. Furthermore, student involvement in local culture-based learning activities such as role-playing, making traditional crafts, and listening to local stories increases their participation and motivation to learn. Thus, integrating local wisdom into IPS learning not only enriches the teaching material but is also effective in fostering nationalism from an early age.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan video edukasi sejarah Kesultanan Aceh terhadap minat belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 25 Banda Aceh. Permasalahan yang diangkat dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya minat belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran IPS, terutama pada materi sejarah lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu (quasi experimental design). Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 60 siswa yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan media video edukasi, dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode ceramah konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket minat belajar dan dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan minat belajar IPS antara siswa yang belajar menggunakan video edukasi dengan siswa yang menggunakan metode ceramah. Kelompok eksperimen menunjukkan peningkatan minat belajar yang lebih tinggi, yang ditunjukkan dengan skor rata-rata yang lebih baik pada indikator ketertarikan, perhatian, dan partisipasi dalam pembelajaran. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa penggunaan video edukasi sejarah lokal dapat menjadi strategi efektif untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa di sekolah dasar. Penggunaan media audiovisual yang kontekstual terbukti mampu memicu rasa ingin tahu dan keterlibatan aktif siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Oleh karena itu, guru disarankan untuk memanfaatkan teknologi pembelajaran yang relevan dengan konteks budaya dan sejarah lokal.

Abstract

The integration of technology in modern education demands the adaptation of dynamic pedagogical strategies, one of which is through an integrated learning approach. However, the implementation of digital media in unifying various disciplines in school environments still faces challenges regarding complexity and infrastructure readiness. This study aims to analyze implementation trends, the variety of technology types, and the effectiveness of using digital learning media in integrated learning in schools. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) by reviewing 38 selected articles published between 2020–2025. Data collection was conducted through indexed databases with strict selection using the PRISMA protocol. The results show that media usage trends have evolved from simple multimedia to advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), and Learning Management Systems (LMS). The implementation of digital media in integrated learning models, such as STEM and Project-Based Learning (PBL), has been proven to significantly increase cognitive engagement, facilitate the understanding of abstract concepts, and support differentiated learning. In conclusion, digital media is not merely a supplementary tool but a primary catalyst that enables the creation of an integrated learning ecosystem that is adaptive, collaborative, and relevant to 21st-century skill needs. Synergy between teachers' technological readiness (TPACK) and school infrastructure support is required for the sustainability of this implementation.
