Abstract

Hobby-based entrepreneurship has become a potential strategy to encourage the creation of new business innovations and grow young entrepreneurs in Indonesia, especially in the Krian area, Sidoarjo, East Java. Hobby-based entrepreneurship training aims to identify market opportunities, strengthen business ideas, and teach product innovation and digital marketing to participants. The training method is carried out through a structured approach that includes theory and practice, focusing on three main aspects, namely identifying business potential from hobbies, strengthening business ideas, and using digital platforms for marketing. The results of the training showed that participants were able to identify market opportunities from their hobbies, such as handicrafts, culinary, and graphic design. The use of digital platforms such as Instagram, Shopee, and TikTok has proven effective in reaching a wider market. In addition, participants also succeeded in developing product innovations and diversifying to increase business competitiveness. However, several challenges such as limited access to capital and digital skills are still obstacles to long-term business development. This training provides in-depth insight into the potential of hobby-based entrepreneurship as a source of income, as well as highlighting the importance of strengthening digital marketing capacity and product innovation to achieve business sustainability. Based on adequate infrastructure support and ongoing mentoring, this initiative has great potential to create new, competitive entrepreneurs.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the integration between multimedia system engineering and digital marketing management strategies through a semiotic analysis of the viral commercial campaign "Indomie Cabe Ijo balik lagi!on the YouTube platform. Amidst a hypercompetitive attention economy landscape, companies are required to hack the consumer's cognitive system to maintain brand equity and the product life cycle. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach based on Roland Barthes' structuralist semiotic theory, this research dissects the technical audiovisual elements of the 30-second video and correlates them with audience sentiment extracted from the digital interaction data corpus. The analysis results indicate that the density of visual engineering—in the form of fast-cut editing, motion graphics manipulation, and urgency siren iconography, which are synchronized with millisecond precision to the high-tempo beats of electronic instruments—is deliberately constructed to lock in viewer cognitive retention. This attention-retention strategy in the initial seconds is proven to successfully manipulate the platform's algorithmic recommendation system, triggering exponential distribution exceeding 44 million views. At the managerial level, the orchestration of these urgency signs operates as a psychological catalyst that successfully amplifies nostalgia marketing strategies into a communal Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) syndrome. In conclusion, the interdisciplinary fusion of visual computational precision and consumer emotion manipulation is empirically proven to radically reduce the Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) metric, trigger massive organic advocacy engagement, and instantly execute brand revival strategies within the virtual business ecosystem.
