Abstract

Technological developments in the electronics industry at this time can be quite fast, but not so in companies engaged in the production of cement. The absence of the slow process of monitoring and reporting process (report) makes the process less efficient cement production, especially on the side of labor and time. To solve the problem it was designed Monitoring System In Cement Production Calculation. This design has several components supporting the IR Proximity sensor, DCmotor, RS232 to RS485 interface, microcontroller and computer servers. When the cement production starts, the server computer will enter the desired amount of production, through serial communication with RS232 to RS485 interface microcontroller will then run as a dc motor driving the conveyor and count the number of goods being produced using IR proximity sensors, the calculation process will be sent back to the computer server for process monitoring. Once the calculation is complete microcontroller will automatically stop the production process by setting a logic low on the dc motor. Through a server computer, a report will be made based on the results of monitoring of the cement production processthat has been implemented.

Abstract

Penyakit Diabetes Mellitus merupakan ranking keenam penyebab kematian di Dunia, hal ini diungkapkan oleh dunia World Health Organization (WHO) (Wicaksono, 2015). Mayoritas kematian diabetes pada usia 45-54 tahun terjadi pada penduduk kota dibandingkan pada penduduk yang tinggal di pedesaan (Kistianita, Yunus, & Gayatri, 2018). Penyakit darah tinggi yang lebih dikenal sebagai hipertensi merupakan penyakit yang mendapat perhatian dari semua kalangan masyarakat, mengingat dampak yang ditimbulkannya baik jangka panjang maupun jangka pendek sehingga membutuhkan penanggulangan jangka panjang yang menyeluruh dan terpadu. Berdasarkan latar belakang tersebut peneliti ingin meneliti mengenai hubungan tingkat pengetahuan pasien terhadap hipertensi dan diabetes mellitus di desa Watugolong Kecamatan Krian Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Metode yang digunakan dengan menggunakan kuisioner yang diberikan di awal dan di akhir penyuluhan sebagai perbandingan tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat sesudah dan sebelum penyuluhan. Hasil yang didapatkan pada sebelum penyuluhan rata-rata pemahaman responden hanya sebesar 59% pada kategori Diabetes Mellitus dan 70% pada kategori Hipertensi dari seharusnya (100%) sedangkan hasil yang didapatkan pada sesudah penyuluhan rata-rata pemahaman responden terhadap materi Diabetes Mellitus meningkat menjadi sebesar 88% sedangkan pada materi Hipertensi meningkat menjadi sebesar 89,12% dari seharusnya (100%). Ada perbedaan bermakna terhadap tingkat pengetahuan sebelum dilakukan edukasi dan sesudah dilakukan edukasi pada responden DM dan HT di Desa Watugolong. Pasien yang mempunyai tingkat pengetahuan yang baik maka akan lebih patuh karena mampu meyakini, mengontrol dirinya dalam mengatasi masalah yang dihadapi dan mampu memahami intruksi dalam program pengobatan yang mereka terima

Abstract

Hobby-based entrepreneurship has become a potential strategy to encourage the creation of new business innovations and grow young entrepreneurs in Indonesia, especially in the Krian area, Sidoarjo, East Java. Hobby-based entrepreneurship training aims to identify market opportunities, strengthen business ideas, and teach product innovation and digital marketing to participants. The training method is carried out through a structured approach that includes theory and practice, focusing on three main aspects, namely identifying business potential from hobbies, strengthening business ideas, and using digital platforms for marketing. The results of the training showed that participants were able to identify market opportunities from their hobbies, such as handicrafts, culinary, and graphic design. The use of digital platforms such as Instagram, Shopee, and TikTok has proven effective in reaching a wider market. In addition, participants also succeeded in developing product innovations and diversifying to increase business competitiveness. However, several challenges such as limited access to capital and digital skills are still obstacles to long-term business development. This training provides in-depth insight into the potential of hobby-based entrepreneurship as a source of income, as well as highlighting the importance of strengthening digital marketing capacity and product innovation to achieve business sustainability. Based on adequate infrastructure support and ongoing mentoring, this initiative has great potential to create new, competitive entrepreneurs.

Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model is an approach that focuses on the active involvement of students in the learning process through real projects. This study aims to optimize the implementation of the PjBL model in improving the skills of Vocational High School (SMK) students, both in terms of technical skills (hard skills) and non-technical skills (soft skills). The research method used is a qualitative approach with case studies in several vocational schools. Data were collected through observation, interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of learning documents. The results of the study indicate that optimal implementation of PjBL can improve students' understanding of concepts, problem-solving skills, and collaboration and communication skills. In addition, challenges in implementing PjBL include limited facilities, teacher readiness, and the need for industry support in project development. Therefore, synergy between schools, industry, and government is needed to increase the effectiveness of PjBL in equipping students with skills relevant to the world of work.

Abstract

Hampir semua UMKM yang baru merintis usahanya memiliki permasalahan tentang pemasaran dan belum memiliki strategi yang tepat dalam meningkatkan penjualannya. Permasalahan yang sama pada Sebagian UMKM di desa Lopang, terkait strategi pemasaran yang belum dapat meningkatkan profit di dalam usahanya. Dalam meningkatkan proses bisnisnya diharapkan pelaku UMKM harus memiliki strategi baik terutama dalam pemasaran hasil produknya baik melalui toko fisik maupun toko online. Setiap strategi pemasaran memiliki kelebihan dan kekurangan dalam proses pengelolaannya, terutama strategi pemasaran secara online. Pelaku UMKM kesulitan dalam mengadopsi strategi pemasaran jika hanya dilakukan secara mandiri tanpa merekrut pekerja yang ahli dalam promosi produk secara online. Sehingga, pada pengabdian masyarakat ini menjadikan WA sebagai media promosi, mengingat setiap pelaku UMKM sudah familier dan mudah memahami aplikasi yang ada di WA serta sudah adanya grupgrup jualan di WA mereka, namun mereka kurang populer dengan istilah WA Business. Melihat peluang itu, kegiatan ini akan fokus untuk melakukan sosialisasi dan bimbingan teknis penggunaan WA Business yang dilakukan secara praktik langsung. Hasil dari kegiatan ini, beberapa pelaku UMKM sudah memiliki WA Business dan mampu melakukan update produk dan pemasaran secara mandiri. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemasaran dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif yaitu metode penelitian menggunakan data kuantitatif dan dijabarkan secara deskriptif. Perbandingan mitra binaan yang mengikuti tutorial dan pendampingan mitra binaan sebanyak 20 orang sebelum dan sesudah mengikuti pelatihan cara penggunaan aplikasi WA Business ada penurunan dari yang sebelumnya belum paham WA Business 28% menjadi 20%, ada peningkatan pemahaman yang awalnya 29% menjadi 60% dan dari tingkat tidak paham yang sebelumnya 43% terjadi penurunan sebesar 20%.

Abstract

This community service initiative was designed to improve the digital competence of the PKK (Family Welfare Empowerment) group in Simogirang Village, Prambon Sub-district, Sidoarjo Regency, with a focus on utilizing social media and internet-based tools to optimize the branding of local UMKM (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) products. The program adopted an andragogical approach that emphasizes adult learning, integrating methods such as direct instruction, hands-on demonstrations, and guided simulations. Key digital platforms including Instagram, WhatsApp Business, Google Docs, and Google Drive were introduced and practiced during the sessions. A total of 40 participants took part in the training. Evaluation results indicated that 85% of the participants successfully mastered the digital branding techniques, achieving over 85% accuracy in practical exercises. This achievement was evidenced by the creation of functioning business accounts, digital catalogs, and various forms of promotional content tailored to their UMKM products. The implementation of these digital tools led to a noticeable increase in consumer engagement and demand for village products, particularly cassava chips and handmade crafts, signifying a positive impact on local economic activities. To ensure long-term benefits and continuous improvement, a dedicated WhatsApp group was established as a support forum for participants to share experiences, ask questions, and receive guidance post-training. Despite its success, the initiative faced challenges related to unstable internet infrastructure in certain areas of the village, highlighting the need for improved digital access. In conclusion, this initiative not only enhanced the digital literacy of rural women but also contributed to their economic empowerment, aligning with broader efforts to promote smart village development and digital transformation in rural Indonesia.
