Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of visual appearance and technology reliability on website quality through user experience (UX) as a mediating variable. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey method, where data is collected through a questionnaire to 250 respondents who use the online tryout platform. The data analysis technique used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that visual appearance and technological reliability have a positive and significant influence on user experience (UX) and website quality. In addition, user experience (UX) is proven to mediate the relationship between visual appearance and technology reliability with website quality. The recommendation from this study is that website developers need to focus on improving visual design and technology in order to provide a better user experience.

Abstract

This study explores the role of Hedonic Motivation, Price Value, and Habit in predicting e-wallet adoption among Generation Z consumers in Manado City. Employing a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design, data were collected from 100 Gen Z e-wallet users in Manado via an online questionnaire, then analyzed using Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings indicate that all three variables positively and significantly influence e-wallet adoption. Habit emerged as the most dominant predictor (β=0.457), followed by Price Value (β=0.321), and Hedonic Motivation (β=0.189). The model explains 68.5% of the variance in e-wallet adoption (R2=0.685) and demonstrates strong predictive relevance (Q2=0.452). Practical implications suggest that e-wallet service providers and businesses in Manado should reinforce usage habits, offer competitive price value, and enhance hedonic experiences to foster sustained adoption among Gen Z. Although limited to a Gen Z sample in Manado, this research provides new empirical insights into intrinsic factors influencing consumer technology adoption.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEOU) on QRIS usage preferences among GMIM Youth using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. The research method used is quantitative explanatory with primary data collection through questionnaires from 120 respondents selected by purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results of the measurement model testing (outer model) showed that all indicators met the validity and reliability criteria. In the structural model testing (inner model), both hypotheses were proven significant: PEOU had a positive and significant effect on usage preferences (β = 0.483; p-value = 0.000), as did PU (β = 0.357; p-value = 0.000). The R² value of 0.602 indicates that the PU and PEOU variables are able to explain 60.2% of the variation in QRIS usage preferences. The conclusions of this study reinforce the TAM postulate that technology adoption, in this case QRIS, is largely determined by the perceived ease and usefulness of use. Consequently, service providers and relevant authorities are advised to continue improving the ease of use of the interface and promoting the benefits of QRIS, particularly within the context of religious communities.
