Abstract

Poso Regency is a strategically important traffic junction in Central Sulawesi as it connects roads from north to south and from west to east of the island of Sulawesi. All vehicles passing through Poso Regency will pass through Tabatoki Road. Along Tabatoki Road, there are public facilities such as places of worship, gas stations, shops, restaurants, schools, sub-district offices, military bases, residential houses, and intersections. The purpose of this study is to analyze the accident rate using the gross output method and describe the collision diagram and the location of black spots on Tabatoki Road, Poso Regency. The analysis results conclude that the average accident rate of fatalities decreased by 20.38%, severe injuries increased by 11.56%, and minor injuries increased by 11.70%. BSKOj (2023) for fatalities is Rp. 75,903,521, for severe injuries Rp. 75,903,521, and for minor injuries Rp. 1,518,070. The causes of accidents on Tabatoki Road are parking vehicles on part of the road causing side obstacles, vehicles queuing at the gas station occupying the road, and the slope at the intersection blocking the driver's visibility. Sepanjang jalan Tabatoki terdapat tempat fasilitas umum seperti tempat ibadah, stasiun pompa bensin, pertokoan, restoran, sekolah, kantor kelurahan, pangkalan militer, rumah penduduk, dan persimpangan.

Abstract

Poso Regency has great potential to be developed into a marine tourism and fisheries city due to its 64.6 km coastline, extending from Tumora in North Poso Pesisir District to Malei in Lage District. For the development of a marine tourism and fisheries city in Poso Regency, data related to wave height and period are required. One method for measuring wave height and period in a body of water is the JONSWAP (Joint North Sea Wave Project) method, an advancement of the Pierson-Moskowitz (1964) method. The JONSWAP method incorporates fetch length and wind speed parameters for calculating wave height and period, whereas other methods only use fetch length. This study aims to analyze wave height and period in Tomini Bay, using the JONSWAP method. The results show that the wind direction dominantly from the north, with most wind speeds (67.71%) being below 0.5 m/s. Wind gusts from the southeast were not detected on the wind rose because the area is located in the Verbeek Mountains; thus, southeast winds can be deflected. The average wind speed is 1.533 m/s, the significant wave height is 0.09 m, the peak wave period is 3.603 seconds, and the wave type is non-fully developed sea.

Abstract

Flash floods in the city of Manado hit Singkilernate Tanjung District, Mapanget District, Tikala District, Tuminting District, Wenang District, Sario District, Bunaken District, Paal Dua District, Wanea Singkil District. Meanwhile, landslides hit Paal Dua District, Tikala District, Singkil District, Wanea District, Bunaken District, Mapanget District and Wenang District. The flood and landslide disaster claimed 6 lives, resulted in 219 houses being heavily damaged, 166 moderately damaged, 761 lightly damaged, several public facilities such as schools, churches, mosques and sub-district offices being flooded and causing ± 279 families/1,925 people to flee to the nearest village. Based on the flood conditions in the city of Manado, the PKM Team from the Faculty of Engineering, Sintuwu Maroso University carried out community service activities after the flash flood and landslide disaster in Manado. From the results of the PKM Team's activities after the flood and landslide in Manado, it can be concluded that the people in the 3 sub-districts visited for the PKM activities were very enthusiastic and grateful, especially for the trauma healing activities, because these activities were very helpful and motivating for the children at the location. Refugees are entertained and do not get lost in post-disaster sadness. Apart from that, the Manado City government hopes that similar activities will be carried out in other refugee camps to alleviate trauma in children.
