Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui gambaran adaptabilitas karier mahasiswa akhir Program Studi BK FIP UNJ. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa akhir BK FIP UNJ dari Angkatan 2016 – 2019 dengan jumlah sampel 136 mahasiswa dan didapat 108 mahasiswa menggunakan teknik sampling stratified random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Career Adaptability oleh Savickas (Savickas & Porfeli, 2011) yang memiliki 4 dimensi yaitu concern, curiosity, confidence, dan consultation. Instrumen ini terdiri dari 24 butir mengenai adaptabilitas karier. Pada hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata adaptabilitas karier mahasiswa akhir tergolong sedang yaitu 58,28 dengan tingkat tertinggi adaptasi pada dimensi confidence (kepercayaan) 86,4 dan dimensi terendah adalah concern (perhatian) 37,8 yang seharusnya menjadi dimensi utama pada dimensi adaptabilitas karier.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how employee skills contribute to the quality of service at beauty salons in North Padang. A quantitative method was used, with questionnaires distributed to 60 customers. The employee skills examined include basic abilities, technical know-how, interpersonal communication, and problem-solving. Service quality was assessed through five key indicators: reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and physical appearance. The findings reveal a clear connection between employee skills and the service quality experienced by customers. In short, the more capable the staff, the more satisfied the customers tend to be. This highlights the importance of skill development and continuous training for employees in the beauty service industry

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between learning interest of Cosmetology and Beauty students and learning outcomes in the Facial Care Technology course. Learning interest is understood as an attraction that motivates students to actively participate in learning, while learning outcomes reflect the level of understanding and skills acquired. The research method used is descriptive quantitative with a correlational approach. Data were collected through a closed questionnaire using a Likert scale to evaluate five aspects: social, academic, emotional, personal, and environmental. The sample in this study consisted of 100 samples consisting of make-up and beauty students from the 2021 intake who had met certain criteria, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between learning interest and learning outcomes. Students' learning interest contributes to their academic achievement, especially in the indicators of concept understanding, practical skills, and application in real situations. With a positive correlation coefficient, it is concluded that an increase in learning interest is directly proportional to an increase in learning outcomes. This research also provides important implications for the management of education in the field of Cosmetology and Beauty, especially in designing learning strategies that support the development of student learning interests. This study suggests improving academic support and learning facilities to encourage interest and optimal learning outcomes. The findings contribute to the development of theory and practice in the field of cosmetology education, with the hope of improving the quality of competitive graduates.
