Abstract

The Field Experience Practice Program (PPL) is integral to prospective teacher education to improve professional and pedagogical skills. This report documents the implementation of PPL at Sinar Sentosa Vocational School, Medan, which took place from 12 August to 30 September 2024. This activity includes observation, teaching practice, and additional activities such as school administration and evaluation with tutor teachers. The activity results show that students can apply learning theory to real practice, including classroom management, use of learning media, and interaction with students. However, several obstacles were found, both internally, such as mastering language and managing emotions, and externally, such as the diverse characteristics of students and limited school facilities. This obstacle was overcome through consultation with tutors, group discussions, and creative approaches to learning. This PPL provides valuable experience in forming prospective teachers who not only understand the material but are also able to manage the class effectively and build positive relationships with students. With support from all elements of the school, this program succeeded in increasing students' pedagogical competence and made a real contribution to improving the quality of education.

Abstract

The training on using Canva media for students and the tree planting activity at SMA Negeri 1 Sibolangit aim to enhance students' digital skills and foster awareness of environmental conservation. The Canva training provides students with insights into graphic design and the creation of engaging learning materials, enabling them to develop creativity and improve their understanding of digital technology. Meanwhile, the tree planting activity seeks to instill a sense of environmental responsibility, particularly in preserving nature around the school. The activities include interactive training sessions, hands-on practice in designing Canva, and a tree-planting initiative involving the entire school community. The results indicate that students have become more proficient in using Canva for academic and non-academic purposes and have developed a greater awareness of the importance of greening efforts. Through these activities, students are expected to continue to enhance their digital skills while actively contributing to environmental preservation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Media Pembelajaran Edpuzzle terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Teks Biogafi pada Siswa Kelas X SMK Marisi Medan T.A. 2024/2025. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif bercirikan ekperimen dengan desain penelitian one grup pretest and posttest design populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas X SMK Marisi Medan T.A 2024/2025 berjumlah 169 siswa yang terbagi lima kelas dan yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X MP sebanyak 31 siswa yang ditentuksn Dengan teknik Clutser Random Sampling, Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas menggunakan uji F, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Setelah dilakukan penelitian untuk pretest dan posttest diperoleh nilai rata-rata pada pretest yaitu 61.03 dengan standar deviasi 17.47 dan nilai rata-rata posttest 77.54 dengan standar deviasi 10.59. Dari hasil pengujian hipotesis dalam penelitian ini dilakukan uji “t” pada taraf signifikan ⍺ =0,05, diperoleh thitung > ttabel (4,43 > 1.671), dengan demikian bahawa H0 ditolak, dan Ha  diterima. Hasil uji prasyarat data pretest dan posttest menyatakan sampel terdistribusi normal dan homogen. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat Pengaruh Media Pembelajaran Edpuzzle terhadap Kemampuan Menulis Teks Biogafi pada Siswa Kelas X SMK Marisi Medan T.A. 2024/2025.
