Abstract

Paylater services offer significant convenience. By using paylater, students can make purchases without having to pay immediately in cash, but by paying later within a certain time period determined by the service provider. This research aims to determine the use of paylater on the purchasing power of students' reviews from maslahah. This research uses a qualitative approach, with qualitative phenomenology as the type of approach chosen. This research data was obtained through document study and observation and interviews as the main data. The subjects in this research were students from the Faculty of Islamic Economics & Business who used paylater, including Shopee Paylater. consisting of 30 students.  In this research, the data analysis method consists of three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The research results show that although Shopee PayLater provides benefits in the form of convenience and cost savings, especially in terms of shipping costs, the use of this service is still considered strange from a sharia perspective. The conclusion in this research is that the use of Paylater has been proven to increase students' purchasing power from a social perspective.Keywords: Paylater, Purchasing Power, Maslahah

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze how the role of the Pesantren-Owned Business Entity (BUMP) in improving the economy of the boarding school. In this research, the method used is a qualitative approach and is a field research. The results of this study show that the BUMP of Mawaridussalam Islamic boarding school plays an important role in improving the economy of the boarding school. In addition to student shops and student stalls as the largest contributor to profits, the boarding school is currently developing a business in agriculture which has started operating. The economic improvement of the Mawaridussalam boarding school is going well and in accordance with the increasing number of students. And the income of the boarding school has reached the BUMP annual income target of around + Rp 2,500,000,000.

Abstract

The background of this research is driven by the importance of empowering MSMEs in improving a sustainable local economy, while ensuring that these economic activities are in accordance with sharia principles. This research aims to develop a creative economy-based chips MSME development model by considering the Maqashid Syariah perspective in Perlanaan Village, Simalungun. This type of research is using a qualitative approach with the PESTEL Analysis technique (Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Environmental, and Legal) which reveals that political stability, government support, economic conditions, social trends, technological advances, environmental awareness, and legal regulations play an important role in the success of chip MSMEs. The research sample will be purposively selected among the chip MSMEs operating in Perlanaan Village. Data will be collected through in-depth interviews, observation and analysis of relevant documents. The data will be thematically analyzed to identify the challenges and potentials of chip MSMEs in the context of the creative economy and Maqashid Syariah. The results of this research are expected to provide new insights in the development of sustainable chip MSMEs that fulfill sharia principles, and provide relevant policy recommendations. The implication of this research is its contribution in strengthening the base of a sustainable local creative economy and promoting the values of justice, balance, and economic sustainability based on Maqashid Sharia in the context of MSMEs in Indonesia, particularly in Perlanaan Village, Simalungun.Keywords: MSMEs; Creative Economy; Maqashid Syariah
