Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik kelas VIII pada mata pelajaran ekonomi di SMP Negeri 3 Wamena dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek Problem Based Learning (PBL). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan subjek penelitian peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 3 Wamena yang berjumlah peserta didik. Penelitian dilakukan dalam dua siklus, dengan tiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, catatan lapangan, dan tes hasil belajar. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Aktivitas peserta didik juga meningkat dalam bekerja mandiri maupun berkelompok. Peserta didik merespons positif penerapan model PBL yang dianggap menyenangkan dan memotivasi untuk belajar. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model PBL dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas XI pada mata pelajaran ekonomi di SMP Negeri 3 Wamena. Kata Kunci : Hasil Belajar, SMP Negeri 3 Wamena, Problem Based Learning ABSTRACT This research aims to increase the learning motivation of class VIII students in economics subjects at SMP Negeri 3 Wamena by implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) project-based learning model. The research method used was Classroom Action Research with the research subjects being students in class VIII at SMP Negeri 3 Wamena. The research was carried out in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting. Data was collected through observation, interviews, field notes, and learning outcomes tests. Data was analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The research results show that the application of the PBL model can increase students' learning motivation. Student activity also increases in working independently and in groups. Students responded positively to the application of the PBL model which was considered fun and motivating to learn. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the PBL model can improve the learning outcomes of class XI students in economic subjects at SMP Negeri 3 Wamena. Abstract
