Abstract

The Congregational Dawn Prayer Program at the Mosque for elementary school students is one of the programs of the Regent of Mandailing Natal in 2022, namely Mr. Muhammad Jafar Sukhairi Nasution, where he issued Regent Regulation No. 12 of 2022 which was signed in Panyabungan on March 14, 2022, contained in Chapter V Article 19 paragraph 1 confirming the additional content of the Religious Education curriculum in educational units in the form of habits that practice and cultivate Islamic teachings through the implementation of Congregational Dawn Prayers for Elementary School Students (SD) throughout Mandailing Natal Regency. The results of the study that the author obtained regarding the effectiveness of the implementation of congregational dawn prayers in elementary school education units in Mandailing Natal Regency are that some villages have implemented it effectively with sustainability until now, this is because of strong support from the local government, while more in various villages have no longer implemented it effectively for various reasons. It can be concluded that the Regent Regulation should be very effective in improving the character of Elementary School students, but it is ineffective because it is not implemented seriously by the relevant parties for several reasons as explained. The purpose of this study is to see the effectiveness of the implementation of Regent Regulation Number 12 of 2022 Article 19 Paragraph 1 where elementary school students, especially boys, are required to add extracurricular religious activities by implementing congregational dawn prayers at the mosque.

Abstract

This paper discusses the analysis of the implementation of the role of the driving teacher in the education environment in Mandailing Natal. The findings indicate that through the driving teacher, creative, adaptive, and innovative learning processes, especially in the field of technology, have begun to develop. Through the implementation of the driving teacher program, teachers experience a learning system that focuses on students, thus developing individual student achievement rather than learning material. Furthermore, in the implementation of learning, driving teachers will be more innovative in more engaging learning methods and media in the classroom and adapt more and develop skills in the field of technology. In addition to the focus of driving teachers on self-development, they also focus on providing change and movement to non-driving teachers. However, these efforts often encounter obstacles because many non-driving teachers are still reluctant to change from habits that have been implemented in the learning experience. The findings also obtained most of the suggestions put forward by informants for the sustainability of the driving teacher program even though the minister has changed and the ideas are also different.

Abstract

This article explores the transformation of Indonesian language learning in elementary schools through the application of deep learning approaches. The study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of relevant articles indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, and national accredited publications between 2015 and 2025. Findings indicate that deep learning technologies, particularly Natural Language Processing (NLP), speech recognition, intelligent tutoring systems, and automated essay scoring, have significant potential to enhance students’ reading, writing, and speaking skills. These technologies provide adaptive learning, instant feedback, and personalized material recommendations. Nonetheless, implementation challenges remain, including limited infrastructure, teachers’ digital competence, and ethical concerns regarding data use. The study concludes that integrating deep learning can serve as an effective strategy to improve elementary students’ literacy, provided that teacher readiness, digital infrastructure, and supportive educational policies are ensured.
