Abstract

The physics learning outcomes off clas VII students are generally still low, this can be seen from the average scores which are still much below the students’ daily test scores. In order to overcome this, learning methods are needed that can increase enthusiasm for learning in a lesson and can increase the level of student learning outcomes. The TGT cooperatif learning model is one of the models that can increase motivation and improve student learning outcomes. The question that arises from this research is whether using the Team Games Tournament (TGT) learning paradigm provides a significant improvement in students’ physics learning outcomes. This research uses quasi-experiment and is quantitativ. A one group pretes-posttest design was used in this research. Ten multiple choice questions about the solar system were included in the pretest-posttest test used in the data collection method. The t-test is used inthe data analysis method.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan prestasi belajar fisika pada siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 5 Lubuklinggau dalam materi Tata Surya. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas VII SMP Negeri 5 Lubuklinggau dengan sampel jumlah siswa sebanyak 34 orang, Populasi di penelitian ini yakni peserta didik SMPN 5 Model Lubuklinggau ajaran 2024/2025 mencakup 7 kelas dengan jumlah 210 peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan sampel yakni sampling dengan cara acak/simpe random. Pengambilan sampel ini dilangsungkan dengan memilih kelas VII SMP Negeri 5 Lubuklinggau yaitu terdiri atas 7 kelas. Pengambilan sampel kelas dengan alasan supaya tidak mengganggu proses pembelajaran peserta didik disekolah. Strateginya adalah menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Team Games Tournament (TGT) dengan menggunakan media digital berupa permainan tebak gambar diplatfrom Wordwall. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan eksperimen semu dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Instrumen yang dipakai berupa 25 butir soal pilihan ganda, yang telah melalui proses validasi oleh 27 siswa dikelas VIII. Dari hasil validasi tersebut, 12 soal dinyatakan valid dan 13 soal tidak valid. Saat ini penelitian masih berada pada tahap validasi instrument, sehingga belum tersedia data hasil belajar (pretest-posttest). Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa instrument sudah siap digunakan dalam tahap berikutnya untuk mengukur efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) berbasis permainan digital terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar fisika.
