Abstract

Violence in dating is something that is increasingly worrying, where relationships that should be based on love and mutual understanding turn into a vicious, toxic circle. This article aims to examine violence in dating by highlighting materialism as a factor that has an influence on violence in dating. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, this research identifies how materialism can influence power dynamics in relationships, increase conflict, and exacerbate violence. Materialism often creates incompatible desires and economic pressures that can trigger aggressive and manipulative behavior. It is hoped that this research can help victims to seek help, and encourage the formation of healthy relationships free from violence.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of pastoral care in supporting the recovery and reintegration of prisoners. The background of this research focuses on the challenges faced by prisoners after completing their sentences, particularly social stigma, psychological trauma, and difficulties in adapting to their social environment. Counseling with an approach centered on spirituality, forgiveness, and moral restoration is believed to provide a holistic solution to these issues. The method used in this research is a systematic literature review, which examines various studies on the role of pastoral care in the transformation of prisoners. The findings of the study show that pastoral care can significantly improve prisoners' psychological and spiritual well-being, reduce antisocial behavior, and enhance harmony with their families and communities. Furthermore, the results also indicate that continuing pastoral care after a prisoner's release plays a crucial role in preventing recidivism and supporting successful reintegration into society. In conclusion, pastoral counseling is an effective approach to accelerate the overall process of prisoner recovery and reintegration.
