Abstract

Research on the digital transformation of civil service services in the Local Government of Sorong Regency, Southwest Papua Province. Digital transformation is a strategic effort to improve the efficiency, transparency, and accountability of the governance of state civil apparatus (ASN) through the utilization of information and communication technology. This study employs a qualitative method with observations, literature studies, and interviews to understand the digital transformation process and the factors influencing its success. The results of the study indicate significant progress through the implementation of online personnel information systems such as SIMPEGDA and other supporting applications, which facilitate personnel administration and public services. However, challenges such as uneven internet infrastructure, the need for improved digital literacy among ASNs, and data security still need to be addressed. Recommendations focus on strengthening technology infrastructure and enhancing human resource competencies to support optimal digital staffing services. The improvement of human resource competencies requires regular training and mentoring in staffing for civil servants (ASN) to be able to operate digital applications and systems effectively. The digital transformation of staffing services in Sorong Regency is not only an instrument for improving the performance of apparatus but also an important part of realizing an effective, professional, and competitive regional government in the digital era.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of tourism on local culture in Misool Island, Raja Ampat, Southwest Papua. Misool is an area with very high natural and cultural tourism potential, but it also faces challenges in preserving the authenticity of local culture amidst the growth of the tourism industry. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach through a systematic literature review with thematic analysis, conducted by examining various academic sources, government reports, and relevant previous research findings. Thematic analysis is used to identify, group, and interpret the main themes related to the impact of tourism on local culture. The research results indicate that tourism provides positive impacts in the form of increased cultural preservation awareness and community welfare but also has the potential to cause cultural commodification and social change if not managed sustainably. This research emphasizes the importance of community-based tourism management, conservation, and sustainability so that the balance between economic, cultural, and environmental aspects can be maintained.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat merupakan salah satu bentuk implementasi Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yang bertujuan untuk memberikan kontribusi nyata kepada masyarakat. Mahasiswa Kuliah Pengabdian Masyarakat (KPM) 2025 Universitas Pendidikan Muhammadiyah Sorong melaksanakan program penghijauan melalui aksi penanaman pohon di wilayah Waisai, Kabupaten Raja Ampat. Program ini dilaksanakan sebagai bentuk kepedulian terhadap kondisi lingkungan sekaligus meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya menjaga kelestarian alam. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi lapangan, sosialisasi lingkungan, serta aksi penanaman pohon bersama masyarakat setempat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya partisipasi aktif masyarakat dan mahasiswa dalam upaya penghijauan lingkungan. Program ini tidak hanya memberikan dampak ekologis berupa peningkatan ruang hijau, tetapi juga mempererat hubungan sosial antara mahasiswa dan masyarakat. Selain itu, program ini juga memiliki nilai pendidikan yang penting dalam membangun karakter dan kesadaran lingkungan bagi masyarakat maupun mahasiswa. Melalui kegiatan sosialisasi dan praktik langsung penanaman pohon, masyarakat memperoleh pendidikan lingkungan mengenai pentingnya menjaga hutan, mengurangi kerusakan alam, serta menciptakan lingkungan yang sehat dan berkelanjutan. Bagi mahasiswa, kegiatan ini menjadi sarana pembelajaran di luar kelas untuk mengembangkan sikap tanggung jawab sosial, kepedulian ekologis, kerja sama, dan kemampuan berinteraksi dengan masyarakat. Dengan demikian, program penghijauan ini tidak hanya berfokus pada pelestarian lingkungan, tetapi juga menjadi media pendidikan lingkungan hidup yang mampu menanamkan nilai-nilai kepedulian terhadap alam kepada generasi muda dan masyarakat secara berkelanjutan.
