Endophytic fungi can be used as biological agents in improving plant growth and resistance in the face of disease attacks. This study aims to isolate endophytic fungi from banana plants and test their potential as a booster for plant growth. From the results of the isolation of endophytic fungi in the banana pupace plant tissue, 6 isolates were obtained. The results of identification and characterization show that there are 4 genera of fungi. The genus of fungi is Culvularia sp., Fusarium sp., Aspergillus sp., and Trichoderma sp. The fungus isolates were selected to see the ability to spur plant growth through pathogenicity tests. Pathogenicity test results show that fungi from the genus Trichoderma sp., and Fusarium sp. have the best ability to spur plant growth. This indicates that some non-pathogenic endophytic fungi from banana plants have the potential to be a driver of plant growth.
