The purpose of this study was to examine the application of the PORPE technique in enhancing the eleventh-grade students’ reading achievement of SMAN 3 Unggulan Kayuagung. Since there were five classes with 157 students, the samples were selected using purposive sampling. As a result, there were 62 students who took part as the sample. This study used a quasi-experimental design with nonrandomized pretest and posttest control groups. The data was gathered employing a written test, which was a multiple-choice reading test. The data was analyzed using the ttest. The results revealed that students who were taught through PORPE technique scored higher on reading tests. Besides, PORPE technique could improve the eleventh grade students’ reading achievement of SMAN 3 Unggulan Kayuagung. Hence, students could understand the information form the text and were confidence in answering the questions

Work From Home (WFH) adalah sebuah kebijakan baru yang dicetuskan pemerintah pada masa pandemi COVID-19 khususnya di Indonesia. Sebuah kebijakan dengan memerlukan adaptasi baru dan tentunya memiliki tantangan tersendiri bagi setiap pekerja. Di tengah masa pandemi COVID-19 ini menuntut masyarakat banyak melakukan adaptasi di kehidupan sehari-hari, adaptasi ini pun berlaku juga pada penyelenggaraan pelayanan publik. Untuk itu penulis ingin melihat bagaimana mekanisme pelayanan publik dengan metode WFH. Penelitian ini ditulis menggunakan pendekatan studi kepustakaan yang mana segala sumber tulisan berdasarkan pengamatan dari website-website atau jurnal-jurnal yang berkaitan dengan tema yang diangkat. Hasil pengamatan dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Pelayanan publik di era WFH ini menampilkan banyak perubahan prosedur dan juga tata kelola yang sudah diatur sedemikian rupa dan kemudian mulai direvisi lagi prosedur yang sudah tersedia menjadi prosuder yang siap pakai lagi pada kondisi saat ini. Perubahan prosedur yang terjadi hanya semata-mata untuk memenuhi tuntutan dari masyarakat yang membutuhkan pelayanan dari setiap instansi yang mereka butuhkan.

This study supposed to obtain information about the relationship between the independent variables, namely; work environment (X1), delegation of authority (X2), and employee bonuses (X3) with the dependent variable, namely employee job satisfaction (Y) BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Batam Branch, either individually or together. The population and sample of this study were all employees of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Batam Branch, totaling 35 people. By using the Slovin formula, a sample of 32 people was obtained. The results showed that there is a significant positive effect of work environment (X1), delegation of authority (X2), and bonuses (X3) on employee job satisfaction (Y) as indicated by the Fcount value of 23.247. This value is much smaller than the Fcount value at the 0.05 alpha significance level which is 2.95, or F = 23.247 < F0.05 (3:28) = 2.95. The relationship pattern of the four variables expressed by the multiple regression equation = -6.812 + 0.469X1 + 0.547X2 + 0.278X3. The variable that has the most influence is the delegation of authority variable, which has a coefficient of determination of 52.8%. This means that delegation of authority is the factor that most affects employee job satisfaction.
