Abstract

Preeclampsia is a disease with signs of high blood pressure, namely blood pressure ?140/90 mmHg and proteinuria ? 300 mg/24 hours, tissue swelling, and the presence of protein in the urine (proteinuria) that occurs due to pregnancy. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between parity and obesity with the incidence of preeclampsia in pregnant women at the Prabumulih City Regional General Hospital in 2023. The research method was analytical with a Cross Sectional approach. The population was all pregnant women who were treated in the obstetrics room of the Prabumulih City Regional General Hospital in 2023. Sampling used the Random Sampling technique. The research instrument was a checklist. Based on the results of the study of 57 respondents who had high-risk parity and were diagnosed with preeclampsia as many as 47 (15.7%) while respondents who had low-risk parity and were diagnosed with preeclampsia as many as 60 (20%) and from 66 respondents who were obese and diagnosed with preeclampsia as many as 48 (16%) while respondents who were not obese and diagnosed with preeclampsia as many as 59 (19.7%). The conclusion is that there is a significant relationship between parity and the incidence of preeclampsia with a Pvalue of 0.005 <? 0.05 and there is a significant relationship between obesity and the incidence of preeclampsia with a Pvalue of 0.000 <? 0.05

Abstract

Background: Early marriage remains a global problem requiring serious attention. In Indonesia, data shows that 8.16% of women marry at ages 10-15, with South Sumatra still above the national average. Low knowledge among adolescents about the impacts of early marriage requires effective educational interventions. Objective: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of audiovisual media and leaflet interventions in improving adolescent knowledge about early marriage at SMK Pelita Insani Prabumulih. Methods: This study used a quantitative method with a Quasi Experimental Pre-Post Test With Control Group design. The study population was 100 respondents using total sampling technique. The intervention group was divided into two: audiovisual group (n=50) and leaflet group (n=50). Data were analyzed using Independent T-Test and Mann-Whitney Test. Results: Respondent characteristics showed the majority aged 17-18 years with predominant female gender. In the audiovisual group, the median knowledge score increased from 60 to 62, while in the leaflet group from 65 to 67. Statistical analysis showed significant differences (p<0.05) in both groups. Audiovisual media provided 6.4 times higher risk for knowledge improvement (95% CI: 2.376-4.610, p=0.000), while leaflet media provided 4.4 times higher risk (95% CI: 1.335-2.577, p=0.000). Conclusion: Both intervention media (audiovisual and leaflet) are effective in improving adolescent knowledge about early marriage with statistically significant differences. Audiovisual media shows higher effectiveness compared to leaflet media in improving adolescent knowledge about early marriage

Abstract

Agrarian regions like East Java province face complex public health challenges. Some cases are caused by the interaction between social factors, and others by agribusiness factors. An integrative approach is needed to understand the dynamics of disease cases. This study aims to analyse the disease with the highest number of cases and project case trends in East Java using an integrated quantitative approach. Using methods such as the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine disease weights, the TBATS model is used to project case trends through 2028. Standardised multiple regression models were used to assess the influence of social factors (population density, poverty) and agribusiness (rice harvest area, agricultural labour). The data used are secondary time-series data from 2013 to 2023 obtained from BPS, the Health Department, and BMKG. The AHP results show diarrhoea as the disease with the highest weight (0.494), followed by pneumonia (0.112), tuberculosis (0.090), malaria (0.051), and dengue fever (0.049). The TBATS projection indicates medium-term fluctuations with the potential for an increase in dengue fever cases. Meanwhile, the regression results show that people in the agricultural sector are at increased risk of malaria (p = 0.037), while other variables have an influence but are not significant. Therefore, integrating health, social, and agribusiness data is an urgent need. And it can be used for early disease warning systems and more precise public health policy strengthening.
