Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors that influence the share prices of commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) during the 2019-2023 period with a quantitative approach and using secondary data. The variables explained include Non-Performing Loans (NPL), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Assets (ROA), and Inflation, with stock prices as the dependent variable. The method used is panel data regression with Eviews 10 software. The research results show that simultaneously, NPL, NPM, ROA and inflation have a significant effect on stock prices. Partially, NPL and inflation have no significant effect, while NPM and ROA have a significant positive effect on stock prices. These findings confirm that profitability and asset management efficiency play an important role in influencing stock prices, while credit risk and macroeconomic factors tend to have minimal influence. This research provides insight for investors and bank management in making investment decisions and managing bank financial performance..

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the determinants of factors that influence the profitability of digital banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) during the 2018–2023 period. The independent variables tested include Non-Performing Loans (NPL), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), and Operational Costs to Operating Income (BOPO), with Return on Assets (ROA) as the dependent variable. The method used is quantitative with panel data regression using Eviews 10 software. The research sample consists of six digital banks that meet the criteria, with a total of 30 observations. The research results show that NPL has a positive but not significant effect on ROA, CAR has a positive and significant effect on ROA, while BOPO has a significant negative effect on ROA. These findings indicate that operational efficiency and capital adequacy are key factors in increasing digital bank profitability. Therefore, digital banks need to improve operational efficiency and maintain a strong capital position to maintain optimal financial performance.

Abstract

This research analyzes the impact of NPL (Non-Performing Loans), LDR (Loans to Deposits Ratio), and BOPO (Operating Expenses to Operating Income) on ROA (Return on Assets) in commercial banks in Indonesia during 2019-2023. Using secondary data from financial reports of banks registered on the IDX, multiple regression analysis was carried out using Eviews 12. Purposive sampling technique was used to select six banks that met the criteria, so that the total sample consisted of 30 banks. The research results show that NPLs have a significant negative impact on ROA, reducing bank profitability. LDR and BOPO do not significantly affect ROA, indicating that credit effectiveness and operational efficiency do not directly affect profitability. CAR is also not significant to ROA, possibly due to the absence of profitable capital utilization. Overall, credit risk management and asset quality influence profitability more than operational efficiency and use of funds
