Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of inflation and interest rates on Indonesia's economic growth. Employing a quantitative approach with the OLS regression technique, the study uncovers a significant relationship between inflation and economic growth. While high inflation can stimulate aggregate demand, boost investment, and drive economic expansion, it can also lead to economic uncertainty, erode household purchasing power, and hinder economic progress. Similarly, the study reveals a substantial impact of interest rates on economic growth. Low interest rates can encourage investment, enhance consumption, and propel economic growth. However, they can also trigger inflation, depreciate the exchange rate, and heighten the risk of financial crises.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the factors that influence the share prices of commercial banks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) during the 2019-2023 period with a quantitative approach and using secondary data. The variables explained include Non-Performing Loans (NPL), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Return on Assets (ROA), and Inflation, with stock prices as the dependent variable. The method used is panel data regression with Eviews 10 software. The research results show that simultaneously, NPL, NPM, ROA and inflation have a significant effect on stock prices. Partially, NPL and inflation have no significant effect, while NPM and ROA have a significant positive effect on stock prices. These findings confirm that profitability and asset management efficiency play an important role in influencing stock prices, while credit risk and macroeconomic factors tend to have minimal influence. This research provides insight for investors and bank management in making investment decisions and managing bank financial performance..

Abstract

The capital market investment in Indonesia is currently growing rapidly and offering many options. One example of an investment is mutual funds. Mutual funds are investment instruments that pool funds from many investors to be managed by investment managers. Investment performance can be measured through the Net Asset Value (NAV) of mutual funds. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of inflation and interest rates on the performance of mutual funds. The method used is quantitative research employing multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that inflation and interest rates simultaneously have a significant effect on the performance of mutual funds. Partially, both inflation and interest rates individually have a significant negative impact on the performance of mutual funds. Keywords: Mutual Funds, Inflation, Interest Rates

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of unemployment, poverty, and income inequality on economic growth in Indonesia. This study uses an associative quantitative approach. The data used in this study is secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency. The analysis method used is panel data regression by combining cross-sectional and time-series data for the 2020-2024 period from 34 provinces in Indonesia, and the model used is the Fixed Effect Model. The results of this study indicate that the unemployment rate has a negative and significant impact on economic growth, with a coefficient value of -3.083497 and a probability value of 0.0000. Conversely, poverty has a positive but insignificant impact on economic growth, with a coefficient value of 0.706846 and a probability value of 0.0779. In addition, income inequality has a negative and significant impact on economic growth, with a coefficient value of -84.82510 and a probability value of 0.0076. The simultaneous test shows that these three variables collectively have a significant impact on economic growth, with an Fstatistic probability value of 0.00000. This study concludes that although poverty does not have a significant impact on economic growth, reducing unemployment and income inequality should be key factors in supporting sustainable economic development in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Mean Years of Schooling, Open Unemployment Rate, and Poverty on the Human Development Index in Java Island from 2015 to 2024. The data used is secondary data, with the analysis method used being panel data regression, and the model selected is the Fixed Effect Model. The econometric testing includes classical assumption testing, as well as t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²) to test the hypothesis. The results show that Mean Years of Schooling has a significant positive effect on the Human Development Index, while Open Unemployment Rate and Poverty have a significant negative effect. This study proves that these three variables simultaneously have a significant impact on human development in Java, where improvements in education quality drive the human development index, while high unemployment and poverty are major obstacles to the human development index that must be addressed immediately.

Abstract

Economic management literacy is essential for empowering communities to make informed financial decisions and achieve sustainable economic growth. However, many underdeveloped communities lack access to adequate financial education and resources. The service aims to address this gap by combining financial literacy education with practical entrepreneurship training. The program utilized a Participatory Action Research (PAR) methodology, involving community members in every phase of the project to ensure that the training was relevant and tailored to their needs. The results of the program were significant. Participants demonstrated a marked improvement in their economic literacy and entrepreneurial capabilities. Many were able to develop viable business plans and initiate small-scale enterprises, leading to new economic opportunities and reduced unemployment rates within the community. The program also fostered a sense of community cohesion and mutual support, which was crucial for the sustainability of the initiatives. Additionally, participants adopted environmentally friendly business practices, contributing to long-term environmental sustainability. In conclusion, the program successfully enhanced the economic management literacy and entrepreneurial skills of community members, stimulated local economic development, and promoted sustainable practices. The success of this initiative provides a replicable model for other communities seeking to enhance their economic resilience and sustainability through integrated financial education and entrepreneurship training.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), Government Expenditure, Economic Openness, and Inflation on Indonesia’s economic growth during the 1994–2024 period. The research applies a quantitative descriptive approach using annual secondary data obtained from the World Bank’s World Development Indicators and employs multiple linear regression analysis with the Ordinary Least Squares method. The analysis reveals that the four macroeconomic variables collectively have a significant effect on Indonesia’s economic growth, demonstrating that the selected model is appropriate to explain changes in the country’s economic performance. The findings show that FDI plays a vital role as a key driver of growth by enhancing capital accumulation, technology transfer, employment creation, and industrial capacity. Government expenditure shows a negative but insignificant influence, indicating that ineffective or consumption-oriented spending limits its contribution to economic development. Economic openness has a significant negative impact, suggesting that Indonesia’s trade structure during the study period was dominated by imports, which hindered domestic production and long-term growth. Inflation exhibits a positive but insignificant effect, reflecting a stable inflationary environment that neither promoted nor constrained economic expansion. This study concludes that increasing productive FDI inflows, improving the efficiency and allocation of government spending, fostering export-oriented trade policies, and maintaining stable inflation are crucial strategies to achieve sustainable and inclusive economic growth in Indonesia.
