Abstract

ABSTRACT This research explores the Team Assisted Individualization (TAI) model strategy in Arabic extracurricular programs at the Arabic Language Development Institute (LPBA) in Islamic boarding schools. This research aims to improve diverse and responsive learning approaches to increase the effectiveness of these extracurricular programs. Using a qualitative case study approach, data was collected through interviews, observation and document analysis, analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, restatement and drawing conclusions. These findings highlight the strategy of implementing TAI in the LPBA extracurricular program, which results in improved student learning outcomes and achievements. This approach effectively addresses the needs and potential of students, but needs to be adapted to more personal needs. This study contributes to the literature by providing insight into relevant educational practices in the context of Arabic language learning, emphasizing the importance of adapted teaching methods in increasing santri engagement and achievement in extracurricular programs at Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

\ This study focuses on quality management strategies in improving the accreditation results of educational institutions, by examining in depth how managerial practices are implemented systematically and sustainably. The approach used is qualitative with a case study type, which allows for in-depth exploration of the process, dynamics, and context of implementing quality strategies at Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Jadid which has obtained "Very Good" accreditation. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies, which were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model. The results of the study indicate that self-evaluation-based planning, strengthening the role of the Internal Quality Assurance Team (TPMI), data-based monitoring and evaluation, and training to improve teacher and education personnel competencies are key strategies that directly contribute to achieving better accreditation. These findings provide important implications for the development of an educational quality management system that does not only focus on administrative fulfillment, but also on the internalization of a sustainable quality culture. This study also recommends the importance of integration between reflective and data-based practices in the quality assurance system in educational units..

Abstract

This research focuses on the contestation of quality indicators in Islamic education and its implications for the character crisis among students, with the aim of revitalizing and developing adaptive assessment instruments that integrate substantive character and 21st-century competencies. Employing a mixed-methods approach with an exploratory sequential design, a case study was conducted at MA Nurul Jadid Paiton. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with the school principal, teachers, committee members, and students, as well as document studies. Thematic analysis was used for qualitative data, while descriptive and inferential statistical analyses were applied to quantitative data. The findings reveal a significant disconnection between conventional quality indicators and the manifestation of a character crisis, such as a lack of initiative, empathy, and resilience, which are not effectively measured by existing instruments. The novelty lies in the design of an adaptive instrument that integrates three dimensions of competence: character, digital literacy and critical thinking. Key data indicate that 76% of teachers believe the current quality indicators do not reflect the realities of character-based learning in the field. Consequently, this research proposes the Islamic Education Quality Assessment Instrument Model Based on Digital Character Ecosystem (IPMBEKD), expected to be a fundamental solution for holistically measuring quality, fostering pedagogical change, and strengthening character formation in the digital age.
