Abstract: Frequently, individuals involved in productive endeavors encounter difficulty in securing business capital. In response to this issue, government has initiated national program including the implementation of Microfinance Institutions (MFIs), aimed at providing capital to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM). Within this framework, the emergence of the Micro Waqf Bank (BWM) served as a solution to empower productive underprivileged communities. The research aims to investigate the efficacy of BWM in fostering the development of micro-enterprises within the vicinity of Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). A qualitative approach was adopted for this research, employing methodologies involving observation, interviews, and documentation to gather research data. The finding of this study reveals that the financial distribution mechanisms of the BWM Sumber Barokah Denanyar comply with prevailing legislative regulations, utilizing qardh contracts aligned with Sharia principles. Furthermore, the financing provided by the Micro Waqf Bank significantly contributes to the advancement of business activities among productive underprivileged communities. Operationally, the BWM Sumber Barokah Denanyar adheres to the guidelines stipulated in Law No. 1 of 2013 concerning Microfinance Institutions. Moreover, in addition to fostering the nation's economy, the Micro Waqf Bank plays a pivotal role by providing financial resources to uplift productive underprivileged communities in Indonesia.Abstrak: Biasanya, individu yang terlibat dalam usaha produktif mengalami kesulitan dalam mendapatkan modal usaha. Abstract

The issue of hadith authenticity, particularly among Orientalist scholars, has generated a critical and controversial discourse. Prophetic hadith is often perceived as irrelevant to contemporary realities, largely due to the socio-cultural and environmental contexts in which it originated. This situation highlights the need for focused studies on matn (textual) criticism to identify the core criteria most commonly used in assessing the authenticity of hadith texts. This study addresses two main questions: (1) Have the criteria for matn authenticity evolved? and (2) How can these criteria be applied to contemporary issues? The research employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, based on journal articles and books published between 2015 and 2023. Sources were collected using keywords such as “matn criticism” and “textual authenticity,” retrieved from Google Scholar and Semantic Scholar, then analyzed and displayed in tabular form. The findings indicate a notable evolution in methodological approaches and perspectives on hadith authenticity. Scholars have increasingly adopted contextual and hermeneutical frameworks to interpret hadith in light of current socio-historical realities. The debate on the validity of hadith texts also reflects shifting views on canonical collections like Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī and Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim. These developments illustrate the methodological diversity and the ongoing efforts to reinterpret Islamic intellectual heritage in a way that responds to modern challenges.

Abstract

This research departs from the urgency of understanding poverty not only as an economic issue, but also as a multidimensional phenomenon that is full of social and spiritual meaning in an Islamic perspective. This study aims to reinterpret the term "miskīn" in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 184 using Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutic approach. The research aims to explore the textual and contextual meaning of the verse through Ricoeur's three stages of hermeneutics: semantic understanding, reflection, and existential appropriation, to produce meanings that are more relevant to contemporary social conditions, especially in the context of poverty in Indonesia. The method used is qualitative with literature studies as a data collection technique, and analysis is carried out descriptive-analytically based on a hermeneutic theoretical framework. The results of the study show that the term "miskīn" in the verse does not only refer to material conditions, but also reflects the structural vulnerability, helplessness, and social responsibility of Muslims towards vulnerable groups. This verse contains an ethical dimension that demands the internalization of the values of care, empathy, and social justice through worship such as fidyah. The conclusion of this study emphasizes that the understanding of the text of the Qur'an needs to be contextualized with social realities through a hermeneutic approach, so that the divine message can be a transformative inspiration in overcoming poverty as a fundamental humanitarian problem.
