Abstract

Raw water intake is the first step in the clean water supply system for households, industry, and agriculture. With sufficient and quality water supply, the risk of diseases caused by dirty water such as diarrhea and cholera can be reduced, and it can be a solution in dealing with water crises due to climate change or drought. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of raw water for parameters of temperature, total dissolved solids, total suspended solids, pH, BOD, COD, dissolved oxygen, phosphate, nitrate, ammonia, oil and fat, and total coliform. The research method used was by sampling and testing water quality. The results of the study showed that the water quality for the temperature parameters was 30oC, total dissolved solids were 72 mg/L, total suspended solids were 28 mg/L, pH was 7.8, BOD was 2.0 mg/L, COD was 6.5 mg/L, dissolved oxygen was 4.6 mg/L, phosphate was 0.03 mg/L, nitrate was 0.08 mg/L, ammonia was 0.026 mg/L, oil and fat were <0.6, and total coliform was 320 MPN/100 mL. The results of the analysis showed that the quality of raw water met the water quality stipulated in Appendix VI (National Water Quality Standards) of Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management, this means that the raw water is still in good condition and is suitable for processing into drinking water or other needs without heavy treatment. Abstract

Water has a very important role for the environmental ecosystem, water is very necessary to fulfill the sustainability of living creatures and the natural surroundings, but also as a potential source of renewable energy in sustainable development. This research aims to identify the risk of environmental pollution that occurs in the discharge of domestic wastewater. Water samples were taken directly using the grab sampling method using a water sampler in accordance with SNI. The samples were taken to a KAN-accredited laboratory for analysis. The parameters analyzed include pH, Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) parameters. After obtaining the results of the analysis, data analysis was carried out to determine the results of the research using descriptive and quantitative analysis methods. The analysis results for the pH parameter obtained a value of 6.2, the BOD parameter was 12.7 mg/L, and the COD parameter was 24.41 mg/L. Based on the results of the pH analysis, and in the domestic wastewater tested, it can be concluded that the analysis results for the pH, BOD and COD parameters meet the quality standards based on the Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia Number P.68/Menlhk/Setjen/Kum.1/ 8/2016 Concerning Domestic Wastewater Quality Standards. Abstract

ABSTRACT Climate change has a very significant impact on the human life cycle and is one of the important contents of the global environment that requires great attention to mitigate climate change. This study aims to identify climate types based on the Schmidt-Ferguson classification. The research method used is the survey method and literature review. This study uses secondary data in the form of rainfall, air humidity, air temperature, and wind direction and speed. From this study, the results obtained are based on climate classification with the Schmidt-Ferguson method. The results of the study on the classification of the climate type of Lake Tempe have a Climate type A which is included in the area with tropical rainforest vegetation with a very wet climate. This is in line with the conditions of the agricultural plantation sector around the research location, where most of the area is fertile and overgrown with secondary crops. With the classification of rainforest vegetation with a wet climate, high rainfall has an effect on humidity to be high, temperatures to be low, and the dominant wind direction moves to the southwest.
