Abstract

Lonjoboko Village has mining potential including sand, river stone, soil, mountain stone and sirtu. The presence of a mining industry in the midst of community life has provided employment opportunities and business opportunities, but must still pay attention to health risks, especially for dust exposure. This study was conducted to predict risks and manage health risks due to dust exposure in sand collectors in Lanjoboko Village, Parangloe District, Gowa Regency. This type of research is descriptive research with a cross-sectional design and the approach used is the Environmental Health Risk Analysis method. The results of the environmental health risk analysis indicate that there are 2 points at risk due to PM10 exposure in sand collectors in Lonjoboko Village. These two points include Depot 1 (1 ilir) and Depot 2 (1 ilir) whose RQ values are 5.4 and 2.7 respectively, which means RQ> 1. While TSP exposure is still within safe limits with all RQ values ? 1, so risk management is needed to control PM10 concentrations in the air.

Abstract

Raw water intake is the first step in the clean water supply system for households, industry, and agriculture. With sufficient and quality water supply, the risk of diseases caused by dirty water such as diarrhea and cholera can be reduced, and it can be a solution in dealing with water crises due to climate change or drought. The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of raw water for parameters of temperature, total dissolved solids, total suspended solids, pH, BOD, COD, dissolved oxygen, phosphate, nitrate, ammonia, oil and fat, and total coliform. The research method used was by sampling and testing water quality. The results of the study showed that the water quality for the temperature parameters was 30oC, total dissolved solids were 72 mg/L, total suspended solids were 28 mg/L, pH was 7.8, BOD was 2.0 mg/L, COD was 6.5 mg/L, dissolved oxygen was 4.6 mg/L, phosphate was 0.03 mg/L, nitrate was 0.08 mg/L, ammonia was 0.026 mg/L, oil and fat were <0.6, and total coliform was 320 MPN/100 mL. The results of the analysis showed that the quality of raw water met the water quality stipulated in Appendix VI (National Water Quality Standards) of Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management, this means that the raw water is still in good condition and is suitable for processing into drinking water or other needs without heavy treatment. Abstract

Abstract : Clean water which is increasingly scarce, with unsafe quality can affect the lives of living things around it so that it can cause new problems. This study aims to prevent a decrease in water quality in the estuary area of the Panampu Canal. This study used a descriptive exploratory research conducted by observing the location and analyzing the results of air quality measurements. The results of seawater quality testing on pH parameters obtained results of 7.1, BOD5 of 1.20 mg/L, DO of 6.30 mg/L, and Coliform Total of 50 MPN/100ml indicating that seawater quality is safe for the environment because it does not exceed quality standards that have been stipulated in the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 22 years of 2021. However, the temperature parameter with a value of 32.3 oC exceeds the set of quality standard. Based on these data, it is necessary to manage water quality because of parameters that exceed quality standards. Keywords: clean water, water quality; canal estuary.

Abstract

Sedangkan nilai NO2 lokasi I sebesar 32,85 µgr/m3, lokasi II sebesar 29,48 µgr/m3 dan lokasi III sebesar 32,45 µgr/m3. Adapun kandungan TSP adalah sebesar 43,50 µgr/m3 di lokasi I, sebesar35,0µgr/m3 di lokasi II dan sebesar 40,0 µgr/m3 di lokasi III. Berdasarkan Lampiran VII Peraturan Pemerintah No. 22 Tahun 2021 tentang Penyelenggaraan Perlindungan dan Pengelolaan Lingkungan Hidup, kandungan parameter SO2, CO, NO2 dan TSP di area Kantor Gubernur Papua masih memenuhi baku mutu yang dipersyaratkan.
