Abstract

Anemia is a health problem that often occurs in adolescent girls, including at SMP Negeri 5 Makassar. This study aims to determine the relationship between iron intake, vitamin C, and knowledge of female students with the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls at SMP Negeri 5 Makassar. The research method used was an analytical study with a cross-sectional design. The research sample was taken using proportional random sampling with a total of 65 female students. Data were collected through measurement of iron and vitamin C intake using Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaires (SQFFQ) interview form, and knowledge of schoolgirls using questionnaires. The results showed no relationship between iron intake (p=1.000), vitamin C (p=0.333) and knowledge of schoolgirls (p=1.000 with the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls. Recommendations from this study are the need to increase understanding of the importance of iron and vitamin C intake and knowledge about anemia in adolescent girls through more intensive counseling and education in the school environment. It is hoped that the results of this study can be the basis for the development of more effective intervention programs in overcoming the problem of anemia in adolescent girls as well as identifying other factors that may contribute to the incidence of anemia in adolescent girls, such as diet, physical activity, genetic factors and iron inhibitor factors.Limitations of the study included difficulties in drawing blood from overweight girls or those who could not find veins in their hands, girls who fainted before the blood drawing process and girls who chose to withdraw from the study.

Abstract

One of the main challenges in improving access to safe sanitation is the low level of public awareness of the health risks posed by dirty water catchment basins. This activity aims to increase community knowledge and awareness of the importance of environmental sanitation, particularly in the construction and maintenance of healthy foul and rainwater harvesting basins. The methods used included lectures, discussions, questions and answers, and hands-on demonstrations involving active community participation. The results of this activity showed a significant increase in community knowledge, skills, and behavior related to environmental sanitation. The community not only understands the importance of healthy water reservoirs, but is also skilled in making and maintaining them. This activity emphasizes the importance of community empowerment as a form of providing information in terms of maintaining the living environment for environmental health and quality of life.

Abstract

Lonjoboko Village has mining potential including sand, river stone, soil, mountain stone and sirtu. The presence of a mining industry in the midst of community life has provided employment opportunities and business opportunities, but must still pay attention to health risks, especially for dust exposure. This study was conducted to predict risks and manage health risks due to dust exposure in sand collectors in Lanjoboko Village, Parangloe District, Gowa Regency. This type of research is descriptive research with a cross-sectional design and the approach used is the Environmental Health Risk Analysis method. The results of the environmental health risk analysis indicate that there are 2 points at risk due to PM10 exposure in sand collectors in Lonjoboko Village. These two points include Depot 1 (1 ilir) and Depot 2 (1 ilir) whose RQ values are 5.4 and 2.7 respectively, which means RQ> 1. While TSP exposure is still within safe limits with all RQ values ? 1, so risk management is needed to control PM10 concentrations in the air.

Abstract

Kualitas suatu bangsa ditentukan oleh kecerdasan dan pengetahuannya, sedangkan kecerdasan dan pengetahuan di hasilkan oleh seberapa ilmu pengetahuan yang didapat, sedangkan ilmu pengetahuan di dapat dari informasi yang diperoleh dari lisan maupun tulisan. Saat ini perkembangan teknologi telah menghasilkan peradaban baru bagi manusia. Dalam hal ini teknologi berkaitan erat dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Ilmu pengetahuan dapat berkembang pesat salah satunya melalui budaya membaca. Durasi waktu masyarakat Indonesia untuk membaca rata-rata hanya 30-59 menit per hari (kurang satu jam), sementara di negara maju rata-rata mencapai 6-8 jam per hari. Oleh karena itu budaya literasi perlu ditingkatkan kembali, yang salah satu caranya melalui sosialisasi tentang pentingnya budaya literasi untuk masyarakat terkhusus di Desa, Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan oleh Dosen ini di Desa Parangbaddo Kecamatan Polongbangkeng Utara Kabupaten Takalar, Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini menjadi salah satu upaya meningkatkan minat, pengetahuan dan pemahaman masyarakat dalam hal literasi.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the need for contextual, interactive teaching materials that are in line with the characteristics of the curriculum and the needs of students in developing 21st century skills. The research method used is development with an instructional design approach, which includes the stages of planning, design, expert validation, and revision. The LKPD product was developed with reference to the learning outcomes of the Merdeka Curriculum and designed to support computational thinking, digital literacy, and problem-solving skills. The validation process was carried out by two expert validators, covering the aspects of construction, technical, and content. The validation results showed that the LKPD product obtained a high average score, with a “Valid” category in all aspects of the assessment. The construction aspect scored an average of 4.6; the technical aspect scored 4.7; and the content aspect scored 4.9. These findings indicate that the developed Informatics LKPD is suitable for use as supporting teaching materials in the learning process. Revisions were also made based on validator feedback, particularly regarding the alignment of learning indicators with the content and time allocation. In conclusion, the developed LKPD has good content, appearance, and structure so that it can be used in teaching and learning activities. This study is expected to contribute to the provision of effective and relevant teaching media in the current digital era.

Abstract

The Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) is a crucial component in supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare services in hospitals. However, limited understanding of SIMRS among administrative staff often hinders its optimal implementation. This Community Service (PKM) activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of administrative staff at Hospital X through training and mentoring related to the use and management of SIMRS. The methods used included counseling, simulations, and pre- and post-test evaluations. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' understanding and skills regarding SIMRS features. This activity is expected to improve the overall quality of documentation and hospital administration services.
