Abstract

AbstrakVacum Forming is process packaging in industrial, wich one deformation of plastic and formed on mold with difference preassure. In food and drinking industrial show positive progress and make bigger contribution for economic grow in Indonesia. At this moment Vacum Forming industrial in Indonesia is just owned big industrial wich have good purchasing power tools in range hundreds of million to billions of rupiah. Metrologi dan Cetak Plastik laboratory in Teknik Mesin Politeknik Negeri Semarang one of the topics is Vacum Forming. Equipment Used is very simple, manny time try and erors needed for have good product without any defects by way temperature varible, pressure, warm-up time and forging. The most difficult is warm-up process where must tu set the hight temperature waring and gap between the material and the heater. The purpose of the research is to know the influence of warming temperatures, time of warming, thick of plastic and pressure on the quality, The result of this research the best variable is time for warm-up 135 second, time of forging 40 second. Ticknes variable is 0,5 mm, 0,3 mm and 0,25mm, the best ticknes of plastic is 0,25 mm.

Abstract

Sheller postharvest handling is a way to get attention. Corn sheller machine with 1 hp electrical machines power is designed to make it easier to scale postharvest handling household. This machine has using the final round 280 rpm. By the time the electric machines is turned on, the first pulley mounted on the motor will rotate and move the belt pulleys 2 then connected and will move the pulleys 3 and then move the disk sheller who will perform sheler inserted through the sleeve corn sheller and corn seeds will come out through the outlet of the seed corn and cob will exit through the outlet cob. This machine is operated semi-automatically by turning on the switch in the ON position and turn off the switch in the OFF position, and this machine can function properly as expected.Keyword : disk sheller , electrical machines, shealer corn machines,

Abstract

Proses pemotongan rumput di Bandar Udara ABC adalah bagian penting dalam pengelolaan landscape. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas mesin yang digunakan untuk pemotongan rumput. Hasil analisis ini dapat menjadi tolak ukur bagi perusahaan untuk meningkatkan kinerja mesin yang ada, menambah mesin, atau mengganti mesin sebagai upaya memaksimalkan produktivitas pengelolaan landscape di Bandar Udara ABC. Dalam studi kasus ini, mesin pemotong rumput yang digunakan terdiri dari 2 Mower Kubota L3800 dan 5 Mesin Brush-cutter Tanaka. Efektivitas mesin diukur dengan menggunakan Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Masing-masing nilai OEE untuk Mower 1 dan 2 adalah 47.05% dan 42.08%. Sedangkan untuk mesin Brush-cutter 1, 2, 3, 4, dan 5 adalah 43.46%, 43.49%, 46.75%, 48.41%, dan 44.72%. Nilai OEE mesin pemotong rumput ini masih belum memenuhi standar kriteria yang ditetapkan JIPM yaitu 85% untuk efektivitas sangat baik dan 60% untuk batas wajar efektivitas mesin. Sehingga hasil dari penelitian ini dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pertimbangan bagi pengelola bandara dalam melakukan perbaikan maupun perawatan untuk menghindari turunnya produktivitas.

Abstract

This research aims to optimize the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) process parameters on tensile strength using the Taguchi method in the 3G welding position. The study investigates the effects of welding current, electrode type, and electrode soaking time on the quality of weld joints. The base material used was ASTM A36 steel, welded with E7016 and E7018 electrodes at current settings of 85 A and 95 A. The experimental design employed a Taguchi L4 (2³) orthogonal array, resulting in four parameter combinations. Performance analysis used the Larger is Better Signal-to-Noise (S/N) ratio approach. The optimum parameter combination was found at 85 A welding current, E7016 electrode, and 30 minutes of electrode soaking, achieving a maximum average tensile strength of 404.35 MPa. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) revealed that the most influential factor on tensile strength was electrode soaking time (57.65%), followed by electrode type (32.38%), and welding current (9.97%). The absence of residual error indicates a highly efficient and reliable experimental model. This study confirms that the Taguchi method is an effective approach to optimize SMAW parameters, enhance weld joint quality, and minimize trial-and-error efforts in the welding process.
