Abstract

This study aims to determine how transformational leadership and work environment influence employee performance through job satisfaction at the Kasemen District Office. The performance of an organization will be largely determined by the elements of its employees, therefore, when measuring the performance of an organization, it should be measured in terms of the work performance of the employees themselves. Good performance will be achieved if it is supported by the work abilities and organizational commitment of each employee The method used is a quantitative method with a descriptive Associative type. The population and sample used were 83 Non ASN employees at the Kasemen District Office. Associative research is a study that aims to determine the influence or relationship between two or more variables, where the process of taking samples from a population and using questionnaires as the main data collection tool. The data collection technique used a questionnaire to 83 (eighty-three) respondents with Likert scale measurements and using SPSS version 26. The results of the calculation of the direct effects of transformational leadership (X1), work environment (X2), job satisfaction (Z) on employee performance (Y). The results of the calculation of X1 against Y with a p-value of 0.018 <0.05. The results of the calculation of X2 against Y with a p-value of 0.000 <0.05. The results of the calculation of X1 against Z with a p-value of 0.000 <0.05. The result of X2 calculation against Z with p-values ​​0.041 > 0.05. The result of Z calculation against Y with p-values ​​0.149 > 0.05. Transformational leadership (X1) through job satisfaction (Z) on employee performance (Y) p-values ​​0.021 < 0.05 while the work environment (X2) through job satisfaction (Z) on employee performance (Y) p-values ​​0.032 < 0.05 In this study it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between transformational leadership, work environment through job satisfaction on employee performance.

Abstract

Performance has a very important role because performance is the final result of the employee's process of completing their tasks. Employees who complete their tasks well and correctly will have high performance. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of performance appraisal and performance allowances on employee performance through work discipline as an intervening variable. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach with a descriptive causality design. In this study, data collection used a survey method through the distribution of questionnaires. The population of the study was 204 employees, and the sample was taken using a simple random sampling technique of 67 ASN PUPR employees of Banten Province. The analysis method used in this study used the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) method and testing was carried out with the Partial Least Square (PLS) program using the assistance of SmartPLS v.3.2.9 software.The results of the study indicate that H1: there is a positive and significant influence of performance appraisal on employee performance, H2: there is a positive and significant influence of performance allowances on employee performance, H3: there is a positive and significant influence of performance appraisal on work discipline, H4: there is a positive and significant influence of performance allowances on work discipline, H5: there is a positive and significant influence of work discipline on employee performance, H6: there is a positive and significant influence of performance appraisal on employee performance through work discipline, H7: there is a positive and significant influence of performance allowances on employee performance through work discipline.

Abstract

This study examined the influence of school principal leadership, supervision, and school status on teacher performance among 176 elementary school teachers in Serang District. Using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), the study found that the three latent variables significantly explained [percentage]% of the variance in teacher performance (p < 0.05). Path coefficients indicated that school principal leadership had the strongest direct and indirect influence on teacher performance, followed by supervision and school status. These findings support the transformational leadership theory and are consistent with previous research. The results also have important implications for educational policy. Improving the quality of school principal leadership, strengthening supervision systems, and enhancing school status are strategic steps to improve teacher performance and, ultimately, overall educational quality.

Abstract

Education is the foundation of national development and progress. In Jombang District, Cilegon City, there is a gap in achievement between private and public elementary schools, with public schools being more dominant in various competitions. This study aims to analyze the influence of principal leadership and teacher quality on teacher performance and school achievement, both directly and indirectly through teacher performance as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive-verification correlation survey method. Data were collected through Google Form from 100 private elementary school teachers in Jombang District, and analyzed using the SEM PLS technique. The results of the analysis show that principal leadership has a significant effect on teacher performance (significance value 0.009), but not significant on school achievement (value 0.070). Teacher performance and teacher quality have a positive and significant effect on school achievement, with significance values of 0.000 and 0.006, respectively. In addition, teacher performance is proven to mediate the influence of principal leadership and teacher quality on school achievement, with significance values of 0.013 and 0.000, respectively. From the hypothesis test, it is concluded that all variables have a positive and significant effect except for the direct effect of principal leadership on school achievement, which is not significant.
