Abstract

The issue of defending the state, which is associated with the choice of the form of the Indonesian nation state, has often sparked fierce debate among Muslim scholars and proponents of the idea of a caliphate state. This writing is motivated by the many political events in Indonesia, which always use this issue as ammunition to force religious ideas and understandings to gain political benefits and support. Thus, the purpose of this presentation is to discuss this issue moderately in the corridor of interpretation of sources of Islamic law through the interpretation of the Quran. This writing method uses historical analysis and analysis of the al-Quran text through relevant interpretations. Ultimately, the researcher found that nationalism in the Qur'an is very close to the idea of Unity in Diversity. The researcher concludes that Indonesia is an ideal form of implementing nationalism, as the Quran desires

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang praktik hukuman fisik dalam pendidikan telah menjadi perdebatan panjang di kalangan akademisi dan praktisi pendidikan. Sebagian pihak berpendapat bahwa hukuman fisik efektif dalam menanamkan disiplin, sementara yang lain menyoroti dampak negatifnya terhadap perkembangan psikologis dan emosional siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan hukuman fisik dalam pendidikan dari perspektif empat teori pembelajaran utama: behaviorisme, kognitivisme, humanisme, dan konstruktivisme. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan menelaah berbagai literatur yang membahas hubungan antara teori pembelajaran dan efektivitas hukuman fisik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa behaviorisme cenderung membenarkan penggunaan hukuman fisik sebagai alat penguatan negatif untuk mengurangi perilaku yang tidak diinginkan. Sebaliknya, kognitivisme, humanisme, dan konstruktivisme menolak hukuman fisik karena dapat menghambat proses pembelajaran, merusak motivasi intrinsik, serta mengganggu perkembangan sosial dan emosional siswa. Implikasi dari temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya penerapan metode disiplin alternatif yang lebih humanis dan berbasis pemahaman, seperti pemberian penguatan positif dan pendekatan reflektif. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi bagi pendidik dalam merancang strategi disiplin yang lebih sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip pendidikan modern yang menekankan pembelajaran yang efektif dan empatik.

Abstract

Educational management faces increasingly complex challenges in meeting demands for quality, accountability, and relevance, which requires a robust philosophical foundation that provides clear value orientation and meaning for managerial practice. This study aims to examine the philosophy of Islamic educational management and its uses and benefits for the development of educational science and the practice of educational governance. Employing a qualitative approach through library research, the study reviews and analyzes relevant academic books and scholarly journal articles, with data processed using descriptive–analytical content analysis that focuses on the ontological, epistemological, and axiological dimensions of Islamic educational management. The findings indicate that Islamic educational management has distinctive characteristics grounded in the integration of revelation, reason, and empirical experience, and is oriented toward the values of monotheism, trust, justice, and public benefit. This philosophical approach broadens the paradigm of educational management from a purely technical–administrative activity into a reflective, value-based, and humanistic discipline. The study concludes that the philosophy of Islamic educational management makes a significant contribution to the development of holistic and transformative educational management science and provides practical direction for effective, ethical, and sustainable educational governance.
