Abstract

Analysis of financial ratios to the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) is one of the parameters in measuring the performance of regional financial management. Analysis of financial performance uses the calculation of the ratio of effectiveness, efficiency and regional financial independence. This study aims to measure the financial performance of the Regional Government of West Sumbawa Regency for the 2019 – 2021 Fiscal Year. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive using ratio analysis methods. The results showed that the effectiveness ratio was categorized as very effective, the efficiency ratio was categorized as inefficient, and the regional financial independence ratio was categorized as very low. It is hoped that the Regional Government of West Sumbawa Regency can further increase PAD, and optimize the acquisition of PAD through exploring new regional income sources.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze what factors are most dominant in influencing the absorption of labor in the agricultural sector in West Nusa Tenggara province. The variables studied include inflation, gross regional domestic product, and provincial minimum wage. The research method used is multiple linear regression analysis with data collected through library methods and documentation techniques. The results show that inflation has a positive but insignificant effect, gross regional domestic product has a negative and insignificant effect, while the provincial minimum wage has a positive and significant effect on labor absorption in the agricultural sector in West Nusa Tenggara province. The value of the determination coefficient (R²) of 0.393 shows that 39.3% of the variability of labor absorption can be explained by the three independent variables. The study concludes that the increase in inflation and the provincial minimum wage can increase labor absorption, while the increase in gross regional domestic product tends to reduce labor absorption in the agricultural sector in West Nusa Tenggara Province.

Abstract

Special Economic Zones (SEZs) are policy tools designed to stimulate regional economic growth through investment attraction, industrial development, and employment generation. However, their real impact and sustainability remain subject to debate. In Indonesia, the Mandalika tourism-driven SEZ in Lombok was set to stimulate regional development. This study examines the impact of the Mandalika SEZ on regional economic development and key factors influencing its sustainability from an institutional economic perspective. The variables include economies of scale, urban economy, economic localization, and the SEZ itself. Using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method, data were collected from 109 respondents in West Nusa Tenggara. The findings indicate that while SEZ alone has limited influence on economic development, factors like economies of scale, urban economy, and localization contribute more significantly. As for the SEZ’s sustainability, regional economic development is a key determinant. These findings suggest strengthening integration strategies to ensure the long-term success and resilience of a SEZ project like the Mandalika. JEL: L83, O43, Q56.
