Abstract

This study aims to create a student worksheet based on the Problem-based Learning (PBL) model in science learning, test its feasibility, and identify student and teacher responses to the implementation of the student worksheet. The instruments were validation sheets and student and teacher response questionnaires. The research data were descriptively and qualitatively analyzed based on the criteria score. Material expert validation obtained an average of 0.8409 with "high" criteria. An average of 0.8036 with "high" criteria was obtained for language expert validation. Media expert validation obtained an average of 0.7522 with "moderately high" criteria. According to the findings of the field trial, the average response of teachers was 86% with the criteria "excellent," and the average response of students was 85% with the criteria "excellent and highly suitable." Furthermore, the n-gain value obtained was 0.7 in the "moderate" category. As a result, the developed student worksheet can be used to improve students' critical thinking skills. Thus, teachers are advised to create student worksheets based on other materials.

Abstract

The growing emphasis on culturally based education highlights the need for ethnoscience-based e-worksheets to improve students' understanding of scientific concepts. This study explores the development needs of such e-worksheets using the 4D Research and Development model, specifically focusing on the define stage through descriptive data analysis. Research instruments included interviews with natural and social sciences teachers and questionnaires assessing the needs of teachers and students. The preliminary study involved 136 students and five teachers from five elementary schools in Bandar Lampung. Findings from the teachers' needs questionnaire revealed that none (100%) had integrated natural and social sciences with local Lampung culture. Likewise, 89% of students reported never experiencing such integrated learning. Furthermore, 84% of students and all (100%) teachers strongly supported the development of ethnoscience-based e-worksheets. These findings underscore the importance of integrating local wisdom into education to enhance scientific literacy, enrich learning experiences, and foster environmental awareness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi kurikulum berbasis cinta (love-based curriculum) dalam upaya meningkatkan karakter siswa di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. Kurikulum berbasis cinta merupakan pendekatan pendidikan yang menempatkan kasih sayang, empati, dan hubungan emosional yang positif sebagai landasan dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian literatur (literature review) dimana penulis mengumpulkan berbagai sumber literatur yang relevan dengan topik penelitian. Penulis juga menganalisis dokumen-dokumen resmi yang berkaitan dengan kurikulum pendidikan di Indonesia, seperti dokumen Kurikulum Merdeka dan Kurikulum 2013, untuk memahami bagaimana kurikulum berbasis cinta diintegrasikan ke dalam sistem pendidikan formal kita. Berdasarkan Hasil kajian literatur menunjukkan bahwa Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta berdampak positif terhadap perkembangan emosional dan sosial siswa dengan menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran yang hangat dan kondusif, di mana nilai-nilai seperti empati, rasa hormat, dan kebaikan diterapkan dalam kegiatan sehari-hari. Namun, tantangan seperti kurangnya persiapan guru, pelatihan, dan keterbatasan sumber daya juga teridentifikasi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa meskipun Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta memiliki potensi dalam mendukung pengembangan karakter, keberhasilannya sangat bergantung pada dukungan berkelanjutan dan kolaborasi antara pendidik, siswa, dan pengelola sekolah. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar madrasah ibtidaiyah mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai cinta dalam setiap aspek kurikulum sebagai strategi penguatan pendidikan karakter yang berkelanjutan.
