Abstract

This study evaluates the compliance of Shopee Paylater and Shopee Paypinjam with Islamic finance principles by examining their operational mechanism. The research focuses on the challenges posed by interest rates, late fees, and transparency, which hindre adherence to Sharia ethics. A qualitative approach, including case studies and semi-structured interviews with users, was employed, supported by secondary data analysis. The findings reveal significant reveal significant non-compliance with Islamic finance principles, particularly due to the imposition of interest and late payment penalties, both considered forms of riba. Moreover, unclear repayment terms and hidden fees undermine the transparency and fairmenss central to Islamic finance practices. While the fintech services provide convenience and accessibility, they fail to meet the understanding of fintech in Islamic markets, highlighting the need for profit-sharing models, improved transparency, and Sharia-compliant regulatory frameworks. The findings offer practical insights for fintech providers, policymakers, and Sharia boards, emphasizing the importance of fostering trust and inclusivity in digital financial ecosystem. Future research should explore comparative analyses across different regions and incorporate the perspectives of various stakeholders.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Analisis Rasio Profitabilitas Terhadap Peningkatan Pendapatan Pada Baitul maal Wat Tamwil As’adiyah Sengkang.2022. Data yang diolah dalam penelitian ini adalah Laporan Neraca dan Laporan Laba / Rugi dari tahun 2019 sampai dengan tahun 2021. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah dokumentasi dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini deskriptif kuantitatif dengan rumus: Rasio Profitabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Jika hasil keseluruhan yang telah diteliti berdasarkan rasio profitabilitas BMT As’adiyah Sengkang cenderung stabil sebagian besar rasio profitabilitasnya diatas rata-rata industri yang telah ditetapkan, dapat dilihat bahwa pendapatan perusahaan termasuk dalam kategori baik.

Abstract

Community service is the implementation of the practice of science, technology and art and culture directly to the community institutionally through scientific methodology as the dissemination of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and a noble responsibility in efforts to develop community capabilities. MSME development is a community service activity in the form of applying science and technology results to solve problems faced by MSME units (micro, small and medium enterprises). This program is aimed at increasing the independence and performance of MSMEs. Examples include: improving the quality of MSME industrial processed products, increasing MSME productivity with appropriate technology, developing online marketing to expand the MSME market, such as only in the Pammana village, Pammana sub-district, Wajo district, with several residents trying to open a business but lacking skills. so that skills are needed so that an entrepreneurial spirit is needed. In this training, it is hoped that entrepreneurs can increase their productivity and provide knowledge to market their products online

Abstract

Lake Tempe Is Fisherman. The problem that often arises related to the livelihood of the population is the availability of employment opportunities which are inadequate with population development as stated in the regional development planning of Wajo Regency. Especially for fishermen who live around Lake Tempe, if they only rely on income to fish in the lake, their income will be very limited, so to obtain additional income, ecotourism can be developed around the lake. This community service activity aims to increase public awareness about the potential. natural resources that can be used as a source of income, thereby increasing household income. This activity was carried out on August 31 2023, at Laelo Village, Tempe District. By obtaining results (1) the community can develop ecotourism in Lake Tempe, with full involvement by the community (2) community participation is quite good, so that this activity runs smoothly (3) increase community knowledge, especially fishermen, regarding ecotourism development to increase community income.

Abstract

This study examines how self-esteem and parental authority shape students’ financial behavior through materialistic attitudes among undergraduates at state universities in Makassar. We advance a novel mechanism by showing that psychological self-evaluation and parental control influence financial behavior primarily through the formation of materialistic preferences, rather than through direct behavioral channels. Using primary data from 200 respondents collected via online and printed questionnaires, we employ structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to test both direct and indirect relationships. The results indicate that self-esteem and parental authority significantly increase materialistic attitudes, while materialism exerts a negative effect on financial behavior. Direct effects of self-esteem and parental authority on financial behavior are insignificant, but both variables exert significant negative indirect effects through materialistic attitudes. These findings suggest that interventions aimed at improving student financial behavior should address underlying materialistic orientations shaped by family and psychological factors, rather than solely on financial skills or knowledge.
