This study aimed to develop an interactive learning medium, RM-Sains Klorama (Klobot Diorama), based on Adobe Illustrator to improve students’ learning achievement in food-chain content within IPAS learning for fifth-grade elementary school students. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D development model, consisting of define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The participants were fifth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through learning achievement tests (pretest and posttest), documentation, observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The define stage involved analyzing students’ characteristics, concepts, learning needs, and learning tasks. The design stage focused on developing a three-dimensional diorama using natural corn-husk materials combined with digital visual designs created using Adobe Illustrator, resulting in a concrete, engaging, and interactive medium. The develop stage involved validation by media and subject-matter experts to determine product feasibility. The validation results showed scores of 96% from the subject-matter expert and 88% from the media expert, with an overall average of 94%, categorized as “highly feasible.” The RM-Sains Klorama medium enhanced students’ understanding of ecosystem relationships, learning engagement, motivation, and achievement. Thus, it is a feasible and innovative medium for effective and enjoyable IPAS learning in Indonesian elementary schools.
