Abstract

Mesin pompa air digunakan untuk menghasilkan air bertekanan dalam proses produksi di PT. BIN dengan tekanan standar 0,45 MPa sampai 0,5 MPa. Rata-rata digunakan 3 dari 6 mesin pompa untuk menghasilkan tekanan tersebut. Untuk memastikan tekanan air sesuai dengan standar, dilakukan monitoring dan pencatatan secara manual setiap satu jam sekali. Pada saat melakukan monitoring tekanan air, operator harus berjalan ±75m dari office power house sehingga mengakibatkan lamanya proses. Kemudian, ketika terjadi penurunan tekanan di bawah 0,45 MPa, operator harus menyalakan mesin cadangan secara manual. Oleh karena itu, akan dilakukan rancang bangun sistem monitoring tekanan air untuk mempermudah operator dalam melakukan monitoring dan pencatatan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan sensor pressure transducer untuk mengukur tekanan air dan sensor water flow untuk mengukur debit air. Data dari kedua sensor tersebut akan diproses menggunakan microcontroller Arduino Nano, yang kemudian akan dikirim ke NodeMCU ESP8266 untuk diintegrasikan dengan platform Blynk untuk melakukan monitoring, dan Firebase sebagai tempat transit data yang nantinya data tersebut akan disimpan dalam Google Spreadsheets. Hasil menunjukkan akurasi pembacaan sensor pressure transducer sebesar 99,27% dan sensor water flow YF-S201 sebesar 97,31%

Abstract

PT ASD adalah perusahaan manufaktur terkemuka di Asia Tenggara yang memproduksi berbagai jenis ban berkualitas tinggi untuk berbagai kendaraan dan produk karet terkait. Plant I perusahaan ini khusus memproduksi ban motor dengan beberapa departemen, termasuk Material, Building, Curing, dan Final Inspection. Departemen Building menggabungkan komponen ban menjadi ban mentah (Green Tire) menggunakan mesin seperti BTU, HBT, dan Jingyie. Namun terdapat permasalahan, yaitu variasi waktu dalam proses barcode scanning terjadi karena posisi barcode di tengah ban dan beberapa barcode tertutup tire spacer. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, akan dilakukan pemindahan posisi barcode ke bagian luar tire. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan modifikasi sistem barcode. Modifikasi sistem barcode dilakukan dengan menambahkan program pada PLC menggunakan software GX Works 2. Hasil modifikasi menunjukan bahwa proses barcode scanning dapat dilakukan dengan waktu yang lebih cepat dengan rata-rata durasi scanning 184,5 detik dari yang awalnya 387,5 detik.

Abstract

Pada proses pengajuan job order, saat ini masih menggunakan kertas sebagai media pembuatan job order yang dapat menyebabkan kesulitan dalam pencarian dan pengarsipan dokumen. Selain itu, tidak ada sistem yang memadai untuk monitoring job order dan proses pengajuan job order juga memakan waktu cukup lama. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, penelitian ini merancang sistem e-JO berbasis website dengan menggunakan UML (Unified Modelling Language) sebagai bahasa pemodelan visual bagi para pengguna untuk memudahkan para pengguna dalam memahami dan berinteraksi dengan sistem. Perancangan UML dilakukan sebagai langkah awal sebelum pengembangan aplikasi dimulai. Sistem ini dirancang untuk membuat proses lebih efisien dan terstruktur. UML yang digunakan mencakup 4 jenis diagram, yaitu Use Case Diagram, Activity Diagram, Class Diagram, dan Sequence Diagram. Perancangan aplikasi e-JO berbasis website berhasil dibangun dengan menggunakan UML, dengan melibatkan 7 aktor yaitu : Admin, User, Dept. Head, Plant Head, Factory Head, Engineering Dept. Head, dan Member.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi memainkan peran krusial dalam sektor manufaktur, di mana fokus utama adalah otomatisasi proses produksi. PT. BIN, yang memproduksi Fan belt/V-belt dan Conveyor belt, menghadapi masalah produktivitas khususnya pada proses extruder di departemen Long Size, akibat waktu yang terbuang saat memindahkan gerobak supply ribbon secara manual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang alat bantu yang dapat menggerakkan gerobak supply ribbon secara semi otomatis menggunakan kontrol selector switch dan motor listrik 3 phase. Dengan adanya alat bantu ini, diharapkan pemborosan dapat diminimalkan dan produktivitas operator dalam proses extruder dapat meningkat.

Abstract

PT. XYZ, a motorcycle tire factory, encountered a malfunction in the ITL.01.TL.01 cutting machine due to an overheating heating system. This research aims to modify the heating system on the ITL.01.TL.01 machine used for cutting inner liners. Manual cutting caused variations in inner liner length (73-78 meters), impacting production efficiency and consistency. The improvement method involved modifying the heater control system. Data were obtained through direct observation and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The modification, including the addition of a thermocouple sensor for real-time temperature monitoring, improved accuracy and efficiency in temperature control. Power calculations showed that the modified system operated with better energy efficiency. Paired T-test analysis indicated a significant performance improvement after the modification. These modifications allowed the cutting machine to operate, reducing material length variation and increasing overallefficiency.

Abstract

PT Ban Indonesia faces challenges in managing delivery notes and Repair Request Sheets (LPP) in the spare parts warehouse, which are crucial for the smooth operation of production machines. The repetitive and non- integrated management process leads to inefficiency and potential errors. This study developed a web-based information system using Microsoft Visual Studio Code, the CodeIgniter framework, and MySQL database. The research results show that the designed web-based information system can improve time efficiency in managing delivery notes and LPP. This system successfully reduced the time required for document processing from an average of 160 seconds to 50.4 seconds. Consequently, there is a significant efficiency increase of 68.5%.

Abstract

The oven calibration process is a crucial step in ensuring the accuracy of temperature testing on tire components. At the PT XYZ DKM Plant, oven calibration is still performed externally due to the lack of a nine-point temperature calibrator compliant with AS 2853. This impacts calibration time and costs. Therefore, this study aims to design and analyze the performance of a nine-point temperature calibrator compared to the AIS-TCL-3 master temperature calibrator. The test was conducted at a temperature range of 30°C to 150°C with a minimum of 30 data points per point. The results were then analyzed using normality tests, Wilcoxon test, and Cohen's d test. The Wilcoxon test results showed no statistically significant differences between the designed instrument and the master instrument. Furthermore, all measurement values were within the ±1°C tolerance limit as per ASTM D1509-15 standard. This is supported by the Cohen's d value, which indicates a low to moderate difference in effect. Thus, the designed calibrator tool is declared suitable for use in internal calibration processes and can be an economical solution for the company.

Abstract

This study aims to design and build a website-based FPK digitalization system and android application in the Engineering Section. This system is designed as a solution to overcome the constraints of the manual system that has been used so far, such as process delays, risk of data loss, and cost and time inefficiencies. The methodology used in this study is the Agile method for software development and the Unified Modeling Language (UML) for system design, including Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and Class Diagrams to describe the structure, workflow, and interactions between users comprehensively. Data collection was carried out through direct observation, literature studies, and historical data analysis such as the number of FPK usage and manual input time. The result of this study is an FPK digitalization system that involves four main actors, namely Admin, Section Head, Engineer, and Tenant. This system has main features that include Complain Form, Work Order, Approval, and Satisfaction Survey. Each user has different access and functions according to their respective roles. The conclusion of this study shows that the FPK digitalization system is able to increase work efficiency, reduce human error, reduce operational costs, and provide digital archives that are safer and easier to access.

Abstract

The development of electric vehicles (EV) has driven the tire industry to meet new standards related to electrical resistance, in order to ensure the effective discharge of static electricity to the ground. PT AMS continues to face challenges in maintaining the electrical resistance of tires within a stable range and in accordance with OEM customer specifications, which set a maximum limit of 10⁶ Ohms. This study aims to identify blocking points of electrical flow within the tire structure and to evaluate the effectiveness of the antenna as an additional grounding path. Experimental testing was conducted on three types of whole tires with different configurations using a Super Megohm Meter and an EKTRON machine. Data analysis included data sufficiency tests, normality test, homogeneity test, Welch ANOVA test, Games-Howell post hoc test, Welch T-Test, and effect size calculation (Cohen’s d). The results showed that the antenna significantly reduced resistance, especially when directly connected to the tread. These findings can serve as a reference for developing more conductive tire designs that meet EV industry standards.
