Abstract

Students’ final grades are still not satisfactory after the semester ends. Current data shows that the average final grade is below 70. Several factors are interrelated to shape students’ learning outcomes. The following factors contribute to the total: 20% for instructor observation, 25% for assignments, 25% for midterm exams, and 30% for final exams. In order to use the results of the Statistics course as a benchmark for future comparison courses, a descriptive study of the learning outcomes of the course is needed. The course can focus more on students’ strengths and areas for improvement if the instructor pays close attention to the stated course objectives. This study was conducted in the Information Systems Study Program of Bina Sarana Informatika University under the Faculty of Engineering and Informatics. The study will be conducted from September 2023 to February 2024. Participants in this study were all students enrolled in the Statistics course for the 2023–2024 academic year, namely third semester students. Students often get an A grade with a score range of 80-100 on the final exam based on lecturer observations, assignments, midterm grades, and final semester exams. Statistics scores can be used as a consideration for learning related courses. So that lecturers can anticipate low scores obtained by students.

Abstract

Saluang musical instruments are unique during manufacturing because they contain mathematical concepts. However, no one has further realized and studied the mathematical concepts of musical instruments. This study aims to explore the relationship between mathematics and Saluang. The results of the exploration are fascinating because mathematical concepts such as arithmetic and geometric series are the most important ones applied during the Saluang manufacturing process. It will also be fascinating to apply in learning to motivate students to learn. The research method used is ethnography. Data were obtained from direct observation, interviews, literature reviews, and documentation. The results obtained from this study are that during the Saluang manufacturing process, there are cultural values ​​and mathematical concepts that include geometry and arithmetic series. Using leaves, cloth, and fingers to determine the distance between holes in making Saluang is a unique mathematical concept. This research can be used as a guideline for teachers in compiling learning devices by paying attention to activities that are very close to students.

Abstract

Pasar saham syariah di Indonesia menunjukkan pertumbuhan yang pesat seiring meningkatnya minat masyarakat terhadap investasi berbasis prinsip Islam. Namun demikian, harga saham syariah bersifat fluktuatif sehingga untuk melakukan prediksi harga saham  menjadi sebuah tantangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan performa model GARCH, LSTM, dan model hybrid GARCH–LSTM dalam memprediksi harga saham. Data yang digunakan adalah data harga saham syariah dari Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) yaitu salah satu indeks saham yang ada di Indonesia yang menghitung index harga rata-rata saham untuk jenis saham-saham yang memenuhi kriteria syariah. Data diambil dalam periode 5 tahun sejak 1 September 2019 hingga 31 Agustus 2025. Evaluasi model berdasarkan nilai Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) dan Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), model hybrid menunjukkan performa terbaik dengan RMSE sebesar 6.85 dan MAPE 1.10%, jauh lebih rendah dibandingkan model GARCH (RMSE 41.45; MAPE 6.79%) maupun LSTM (RMSE 39.81; MAPE 6.67%). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi volatilitas dari GARCH ke dalam struktur pembelajaran LSTM secara signifikan meningkatkan akurasi dan stabilitas hasil prediksi. Model hybrid berhasil mengatasi kelemahan masing-masing model tunggal, dengan menggabungkan kemampuan GARCH dalam menangkap volatilitas serta keunggulan LSTM dalam mempelajari pola non-linear dan jangka panjang.
