Abstract

This article discusses the problem of marriage in Indonesia, especially regarding the role of parents of adopted children as marriage guardians, which is still an issue among the community. This study aims to answer two main questions, How are the interpretations of Qur'anic verses according to tafsir scholars about marriage guardians, and who has the right to be a marriage guardian for adopted children in the present context? To answer these questions, the researcher uses Fazlur Rahman's double movement theory as a conceptual framework to understand the historical context of related verses, such as those found in surah Al-Baqarah: 231, 232, and surah An-Nur: 3. The method used is qualitative with a library research approach and descriptive analysis technique. Researchers used al-Farmawi's thematic interpretation approach to collect relevant verses, as well as the content analysis method to analyze existing texts. This research also contextualizes the understanding into the current social situation of society. The results show that in the current context, the role of guardians in marriage remains relevant as a form of protection and preservation of women's honor, as has been confirmed by the scholars of tafsir. In addition, when the nasab guardian (legally entitled guardian) cannot be present or is obstructed, then the right of guardianship passes to the judge's guardian, including in the case of adopted children's marriage. This research makes an important contribution to the discourse on Islamic marriage law by emphasizing that the principle of guardianship is an essential part of protecting women's rights in marriage, both in the context of the past and the present.

Abstract

The implementation of life-saving facilities is crucial to be considered in a hospital in order to minimize adverse events during emergency conditions. This study aims to describe the implementation of life-saving facilities at RSUD Suraabaya, East Java Province. The research utilizes a descriptive method with data collection through observation and measurement. The research subject is located at RSUD Surabaya, East Java Province, with the K3RS organization as the respondent. The variables examined include the identification of potential fire hazards and life-saving facilities such as emergency stairs, emergency doors, emergency lights, exit routes, exit signs, and assembly points. Data analysis is conducted descriptively. The research findings indicate that the identification of potential fire hazards in both the New and Old Buildings under normal conditions is in accordance with the applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Emergency stairs and emergency doors fall under the category of being sufficient, emergency lights fall under the category of being insufficient, while the exit routes, exit signs, and assembly points fall under the category of being good. Overall, theassessment of life-saving facilities falls under the category of being sufficient. Therefore, it is recommended that RSUD Surabaya, East Java Province, conducts monitoring regarding the compliance with SOP, carries out improvements, and procures life-saving facilities that do not meet the requirements. In future research, improvements need to be made by adding other variables. This is necessary in order to correct deficiencies in this research.

Abstract

English is an international language used by major part of the people in the world, so to understand English-speaking, writing, listening and reading- for educated people is a must. Therefore the Indonesian government prepares and declares early in order that English must be taught since Elementary School as a local content. It is hoped that the children will more understand English when they continue their studies at Junior High School, Senior High School and even at University. Teaching English at Elementary school is difficult and unique because students still like playing and do not realize the importance of knowledge. Therefore, it needs competence teachers, suitable materials, method, strategy and media. Because of it, the researcher is interested to discuss it by choosing the title, “Teaching English to the Fourth-Class Students at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Al Fatah in the Village of Kedawung in the Subdistrict of Susukan in the County of Banjarnegara.” The researcher wants to know and to describe how the teacher teaches and what strategy, method and media she uses during the process of teaching and learning. The research is qualitative research in form of case study. The approach of the research is phenomenological approach in which the researcher observes the phenomena during the teaching of English and he then describes it. The data is in form of Teaching guideline and the facts happening in the classroom and the source of data is taken from the teacher and from the guide books. The method of research is descriptive-qualitative method meaning the researcher just describes his finding during the process of teaching-learning. The result of the research shows that teacher has taught the students well and successfully. She uses the method of Speech (Ceramah), Q and A /discussion and role play; applies Scientific Approach and Model of Discovery Learning; Uses learning media Guide book Grow with English, instrument of learning LCD Projector etc, and manages the class and time of learning well. Students are enthusiastic to join the lesson, motivated to train and do the homeworks and can understand the lesson optimally.
