Abstract

This study explores the intersection of citizenship and land tenure, examining how legal frameworks influence access to land and impact social identities within agrarian contexts. Employing doctrinal legal research, this research synthesizes literature and analyzes primary legal sources to uncover the principles governing land rights as they relate to citizenship status. The study utilizes a combination of statutory, case, conceptual, historical, and comparative approaches to provide a comprehensive view of land tenure systems across different regions and cultures. Findings indicate that citizenship status significantly affects land ownership and tenure security, often marginalizing certain groups such as women, indigenous communities, and non-citizens. The results underscore the need for legal reforms that recognize equitable land rights and address social disparities within land governance frameworks. This research contributes to the ongoing discourse on agrarian law, advocating for policies that prioritize social justice and inclusivity, thereby enhancing sustainable development and resource management. Keywords: agrarian law, land ownership rights, citizenship dynamics, Indonesian citizens, legal framework.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the moral values represented in the film Ipar Adalah Maut through the normative framework of the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, particularly those related to the concept of al-hamw (brother-in-law), the prohibition of approaching adultery, and the control of lustful desires. The film represents a contemporary popular cultural text that portrays moral tensions within family life as well as the boundaries of Islamic ethics. The narrative, which centers on a forbidden relationship between a husband and his sister-in-law, presents fundamental issues related to family ethics, moral responsibility, and violations of religious norms. Using a qualitative-descriptive method with a library research approach, the analysis is conducted by examining the content of key scenes, dialogues, and characters in the film, which are then systematically interpreted based on relevant hadith texts. The results of the study show that the film represents a serious deviation from Islamic family ethics, reflected in the violation of marital trust, the weakening of social boundaries with a sister-in-law, and the normalization of emotional closeness that ultimately leads to moral degradation. These findings affirm the relevance of the hadith al-hamw al-mawt as a preventive ethical warning regarding the dangers of uncontrolled relations with a sister-in-law. This research contributes to strengthening hadith as a normative ethical framework in the analysis of popular films, thereby bridging doctrinal hadith studies with contemporary cultural realities, while also emphasizing the potential of film as a reflective and educational medium in reinforcing Islamic family ethics amid the dynamics of modern society.

Abstract

This study examines the practice of communal iftar (iftar jama‘i) across two contrasting institutional settings, namely campus mosques and community mosques in Sukoharjo Regency, Indonesia. It aims to analyze how iftar activities are organized, how patterns of congregational behavior differ, and how these practices can be interpreted within the framework of fiqh al-‘ibādah. Using a qualitative descriptive-comparative approach, data were collected through participatory observation and in-depth interviews with mosque administrators, Ramadan committees, and congregants. The findings indicate that institutional structure plays a significant role in shaping religious practices. Campus mosques tend to implement highly structured and regulated systems, characterized by formal committees, standardized food distribution, and controlled participation mechanisms. In contrast, community mosques exhibit more flexible, participatory, and socially embedded practices, relying on voluntary contributions and collective engagement. Despite these differences, both contexts remain consistent with the normative principles of fiqh al-‘ibādah, particularly in encouraging timely iftar and promoting social charity. These findings demonstrate that religious practices are not static but are dynamically negotiated within specific social contexts. This study reinforces and extends the concept of living fiqh by showing how normative Islamic teachings are continuously interpreted in everyday religious life. It also provides practical implications for mosque management in designing religious activities that balance normative compliance with social inclusivity, thereby offering a more integrated and context-sensitive understanding of contemporary Muslim religious practices during Ramadan.
