Abstract

Penerapan cuti haid berdasarkan UU No. 13 Tahun 2003 pada kenyataannya masih memiliki pengawasan yang lemah. Hal ini disebabkan karena cuti menjadi suatu hal yang diikuti dengan penerapan upah yang diberikan oleh pengusaha. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran penerapan cuti haid pada pekerja perempuan di UIKL Sulawesi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan jumlah sampel 40 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan di UIKL Sulawesi pada bulan Agustus 2022. Menggunakan analisis univariat. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan kategori pengetahuan baik (85.0%) dan kurang baik (15.0%), kategori persepsi baik (85,0%) dan kurang baik (15,0%) serta kategori penerapan baik (62,5%) dan kurang baik (37,5%). Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini adalah penerapan cuti haid pada pekerja perempuan di UIKL Sulawesi sudah sesuai dengan peraturan UU. No. 13 Tahun 2003 Tentang Ketenagakerjaan. Perlu adanya sosialisasi mengenai cuti haid dan mempermudah syarat pekerja yang ingin mengambil cuti.

Abstract

Bullying is intentional behavior aimed at causing physical or mental harm, often seen as a form of violence. In schools, bullying is common, with many students reporting incidents to teachers and parents. Data from the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (2020) indicates that there were 1,567 cases of bullying in educational settings, including 76 cases where children were victims and 12 cases where they were perpetrators. This community service initiative sought to assess students' understanding of bullying in Balocci, focusing on increasing awareness of positive behaviors to prevent all types of bullying, including physical, verbal, social, and cyberbullying. The activity took place on October 14, 2023, at SMP Negeri 2 Balocci, Pangkep Regency, South Sulawesi. It used a combination of lecture and educational game methods, specifically the Muslim Children's Quartet Cards. The lecture provided an overview of bullying’s definition, types, causes, impacts, and prevention strategies through a PowerPoint presentation. Meanwhile, the quartet card game, a new method for bullying prevention, added an interactive component. Results showed an increase in participants' knowledge on bullying prevention, with scores rising from 75% to 80% post-intervention. This program suggests establishing a school complaint center involving staff and students to further prevent bullying.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) and HIV infections are significant health issues in Makassar City, where their prevalence is increasing and having a substantial impact on individuals' physical and mental health. Poor mental health among TB Paru-HIV patients can exacerbate their physical conditions and hinder the healing process. This study aims to explore the protective factors that contribute to the mental health of patients. The research employs a qualitative approach through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions involving 10 participants. The study was conducted at several hospitals and community health centers in Makassar that provide services for TB Paru-HIV patients, reaching a diverse range of individuals with varying educational and occupational backgrounds. The findings indicate that social support from family and the community serves as an essential emotional safety net, helping patients cope with stigma and anxiety. Access to quality healthcare enhances patients' self-confidence and hope, while involvement in community activities provides a sense of purpose and belonging. Knowledge about the diseases also facilitates understanding and management of their conditions. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating mental health programs into TB Paru-HIV care and the need for community-based interventions to improve patients' psychological well-being. This research provides valuable insights for developing more effective strategies to support the mental health of TB Paru-HIV patients in Makassar.
