Abstract

This research addresses the development of an online ticket booking system for Tahura (Forest Park) Banjarmasin, a premier natural tourism destination in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. The current manual ticket booking system creates operational inefficiencies, including long queues, time delays, and difficulties in visitor management. This research aims to design and develop an effective online ticket booking system to enhance visitor convenience and improve operational efficiency for park management. The research employs diverse methodological approaches including Use Case Analysis, Persona Development, Focus Groups, Workflow Analysis, and Prototyping to ensure comprehensive system development. The proposed system enables tourists to purchase tickets remotely through digital platforms, reducing physical queues and providing transparent information access. The research demonstrates that implementing an online booking system can significantly improve visitor satisfaction, streamline operations, increase revenue potential, and support sustainable tourism development.

Abstract

Information technology (IT) is a crucial element in digital transformation in higher education. Effective IT governance is critical to aligning technology strategy with organizational goals. This research aims to instill a level of IT governance maturity in the ICT Unit of Sari Mulia University (UNISM) using the COBIT 5 framework, with a focus on the EDM02 (Ensure Benefits Delivery) and APO07 (Manage Human Resources) domains. The research method used is a qualitative approach by collecting data through surveys and direct interviews with the UNISM ICT team. The analysis is carried out by measuring the current level of maturity, determining the expected level of maturity, and conducting a gap analysis. The evaluation results show that the EDM02 domain reached a maturity level of Level 3 (Established) with an average score of 2.66. Meanwhile, the APO07 domain is at Level 1 (Performed) with a score of 1.16. The average gap analysis of the two domains is 3.09, with the expected target being Level 5 (Optimizing). This research concludes that there is a significant imbalance between the current and expected conditions of IT governance. Recommendations are given to implement standard processes consistently and make continuous improvements to support the achievement of UNISM's strategic goals.

Abstract

Operational management at XYZ Kindergarten School is currently still dominated by manual processes, starting from recording attendance to reporting student development. This triggers the risk of inefficiency and loss of historical data on child development. This research aims to design a comprehensive enterprise architecture (EA) for XYZ Kindergarten School using the TOGAF ADM (Architecture Development Method) methodology. The main focus of the research is to align preschool education business processes with integrated information technology solutions. The results of the study formulated the blueprint of the Kindergarten School Information System (SISTK) which includes multimedia-based digital portfolio management and two-way communication systems. The implementation of this design is projected to optimize teacher performance and provide transparency of development data for parents in real-time.
