Abstract

Indonesian, as the official and academic language in Indonesia, has linguistic standards outlined in the Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI). However, in practice, the use of vocabulary that aligns with KBBI is still not a common habit among university students. This study aims to review students' awareness of using vocabulary that conforms to KBBI and the factors influencing it. The method used in this research is a literature review, analyzing various sources, including academic journals, books, and relevant articles. The findings indicate that students' awareness of using standard language remains low due to social environment influences, social media exposure, and a lack of emphasis on formal language use in academic learning. Additionally, the habit of using informal language in daily communication, particularly on digital platforms, is one of the primary reasons for the decline in formal language quality among students.

Abstract

The increasingly complex issue of environmental change requires students to possess critical thinking skills in order to understand and find solutions to the ecological problems occurring around them. Learning activities in schools still tend to focus on rote memorization, which limits students’ ability to think deeply and analytically about environmental phenomena. The Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model emerges as an innovative student-centered approach that presents real-world problems to be solved through critical and collaborative thinking processes. The purpose of this literature review is to analyze the influence of the PBL model on enhancing students’ critical thinking skills in understanding environmental change issues. Based on the review of previous studies, PBL has been proven effective in improving critical thinking ability, conceptual understanding, and awareness of environmental issues. Therefore, the implementation of PBL can serve as a relevant learning strategy to develop active, reflective students with a high level of ecological awareness.

Abstract

Pangan Jajanan Anak Sekolah (PJAS) is one of the foods consumed by people in Indonesia, especially by children and adolescents. This food is very vulnerable to contamination by microorganisms that can damage and can be toxic to the human body when consumed. Microbes can contaminate food through water, dust, air, soil, processing equipment (during the production or preparation process) as well as secretions from the intestines of humans and animals. The method used is literature review by collecting, evaluating, and synthesizing existing studies in the scientific literature. In this case using a search engine such as google scholar. The years obtained from articles from 2018 to 2024 are relevant to the topic of this research. The topic used is the identification of Escherichia coli bacteria in meatball meat samples as school snack food (PJAS), this method is used to gain an in-depth understanding of Escherichia coli bacteria in meatball meat samples as school snacks. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), an estimated 600 million people globally (nearly 1 in 10 people) fall ill including diarrhea, kidney and liver failure, brain and nerve disorders, reactive arthritis and cancer from food-borne diseases, with 420,000 deaths reported in 2010. Food-borne illnesses arise from the consumption of contaminated food, which can be.
