Abstract

The involvement of fathers in parenting has a positive effect on aspects of child development and provides psychological results from time to time. The purpose of this article is to explore several research literature in the form of journals or scientific articles related to fathers' involvement in parenting and its impact on children's development both in terms of social-emotional, cognitive, language, and moral. The methodology used is a literature review of journal articles that focus on the word father's involvement in parenting and some impacts on aspects of child development which are then analyzed to obtain an explanation of the role of the father's involvement and described descriptively. The results of the analysis describe the definitions of father and parenting, father's involvement in parenting, the function of father's involvement in parenting, its impact on child development, and the model of father's involvement programs. With the involvement of fathers in parenting, aspects of child development develop optimally

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the need for learning media for Kingdegarten (TK) children in Southwest Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Learning media plays an important role in improving the quality of early childhood education, so this research is expected to provide insight into the types of media needed, the challenges faced, and solutions that ca be implemented. Through a qualitative approach using interview and observation methods, this research found that althogh many kindergartens have implemented several traditional learning media, there are still shortcomings in terms of access to more interactive and technology-based learning media. Therefor, development and media distribution learning right on target is indispensable to support Develpoment cognitive, affective, and child psychomotor chidren in Sumba Southwest.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the traditional dakon game in improving children's numeracy skills. The study involved 15 kindergarten students in Loura District, Sumba, as research subjects. The study used a quantitative research method with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design. Data were collected using observation sheets. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality assumption test (priority for n < 50), followed by a paired samples t-test (SPSS IBM, α = 0.05, two-tailed) to test the difference in pretest-posttest means. The normality test showed that the data were normally distributed. The paired t-test showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest. These findings indicate that the traditional dakon game can improve the numeracy skills of children with dyscalculia. Therefore, the traditional dakon game can be a learning tool to introduce and improve the numeracy skills of children with dyscalculia.
