Abstract

This research employs critical discourse analysis of media to examine the news coverage of the Papua student riot in Surabaya.  This study analyzes how media texts and narratives apply news coverage of the incident in the Papuan Student riots in Surabaya. This study adopts a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing Norman Fairclough's Critical Discourse Analysis as its analytical framework. Data collection methods include observation and documentation. The findings of this study indicate that the media's amplification of the Papua student riots in Surabaya reflects historical factors, situational konteks, and the hegemony of media institutions, leading to interpretative insinuation in news narratives that tend toward media-driven judgment. This tendency is reflected in headlines such as "Refusing to Hoist the Red and White Flag" and "Discovery of a Bag with the Morning Star Emblem," which historically connected to the issue of the Papuan independence movement community. The media's tendency toward insinuative or provocative reporting has exacerbated anarchic conflicts in several regions, including Manokwari, Jayapura, Fakfak, and Sorong.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem penerimaan karyawan baru menggunakan metode algoritma Promethee. Dalam era teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang semakin maju, perusahaan-perusahaan membutuhkan sistem seleksi yang efisien dan akurat dalam memilih karyawan baru. Penelitian sebelumnya telah mengaplikasikan metode Promethee dalam seleksi karyawan, namun masih terdapat keterbatasan dalam jumlah kriteria dan platform yang digunakan. Oleh karena itu, penulis mengusulkan sistem yang dapat memberikan rekomendasi kepada HRD dan pimpinan perusahaan berdasarkan kriteria penilaian yang ditentukan menggunakan metode Promethee. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini berupa urutan rangking pelamar dari nilai tertinggi hingga terendah.
