Abstract

This study aims to examine the implications of the application of Max Weber's authority thinking in the decision-making process at Pondok Pesantren Tarbiyah Islamiyah Gobah V Surau. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to explore the application of Max Weber's authority thinking in decision making at the Tarbiyah Islamiyah Gobah V Surau Islamic Boarding School. The main focus of this research is to understand how Weber's three types of authority, namely traditional, charismatic, and rational-legal authority, play a role in the decision-making process involving pesantren leaders, teachers, and santri. The results of this study indicate that the application of Weberian authority in Pondok Pesantren Tarbiyah Islamiyah Gobah V Surau shows that the combination of traditional, charismatic, and rational-legal authority creates a strong and adaptive educational environment. Traditional authority safeguards spiritual and moral values, while the charismatic authority of leaders such as kyai builds loyalty among santri. On the other hand, the application of rational-legal authority increases efficiency and transparency in education management. Although there are challenges in maintaining traditional values in the midst of modernization, the combination of these three forms of authority provides a solid foundation for pesantren to adapt to the times, without losing its distinctive identity and character. Pondok Pesantren Tarbiyah Islamiyah Gobah V Surau has the potential to become a relevant and responsive educational institution, while being faithful to its existing cultural and spiritual heritage

Abstract

This research originated from the existence of obstacles in Surau Tahfidzul Qur'an Mushalla Firdaus in carrying out tahfiz qur'an activities, such as the lack of infrastructure and not all students can memutqinkan the memorise they have. Despite having various obstacles, the students of Surau Tahfidzul Qur'an often excel in every competition. This study aims to evaluate the implementation of tahfidzul qur'an in Surau Tahfidzul Qur'an Mushalla Firdaus Jorong Jalikur Patanangan Koto Tangah Kec. Tilatang Kamang Kab. Agam which includes program implementation, tahfidz method and evaluation system used. The research method used is an evaluation research method with the CIPP approach (context, input, process and product). Data were collected by observation, interview and documentation. The results showed that: (1) The implementation of tahfiz qur'an is carried out with three levels, namely level one is focused on memorising and tahsin reading. Level two, memorising and understanding, while level three is focused on making students memorise and be able to preach. (2) The methods used in tahfiz qur'an are; Takrir, Sabaq, Sabqi and Manzil methods and understanding verses. (3) The evaluation system for the implementation of tahfizul qur'an is carried out in two ways, namely, internal evaluation and external evaluation. The internal evaluation system is carried out to see the extent of the students' memorisation by means of students depositing their memorisation in front of the teacher. The results of the external evaluation show that the community feels grateful, happy and happy with the existence of Surau Tahfidzul Qur'an Mushalla Firdaus. Abstrak Penelitian ini berawal dari adanya kendala di Surau Tahfidzul Qur’an Mushalla Firdaus dalam melaksanakan kegiatan tahfiz qur’an, seperti kurangnya sarana prasarana dan tidak semua santri bisa memutqinkan hafalan yang mereka miliki. Meskipun memiliki berbagai kendala, para santri Surau Tahfidzul Qur’an ini sering berprestasi dalam setiap perlombaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pelaksanaan tahfidzul qur’an di Surau Tahfidzul Qur’an Mushalla Firdaus Jorong Jalikur Patanangan Koto Tangah Kec. Tilatang Kamang Kab. Agam yang meliputi pelaksanaan program, metode tahfidz dan sistem evaluasi yang digunakan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian evaluasi dengan pendekatan CIPP (context, input, process dan product). Data dikumpulkan dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pelaksanaan tahfiz qur’an dilakukan dengan tiga tingkatan, yaitu tingkat satu difokuskan untuk menghafal dan tahsin bacaan. Tingkat dua, hafal dan paham, sementara pada tingkat tiga difokuskan agar santri hafal dan bisa mendakwahkan. (2) Metode yang digunakan dalam tahfiz qur’an yaitu; metode Takrir, Sabaq, Sabqi dan Manzil dan memahami ayat. (3) Sistem Evaluasi pelaksanaan tahfizul qur’an dilakukan dengan dua cara yaitu, evaluasi internal dan evaluasi eksternal. Sistem evaluasi internal dilakukan untuk melihat sejauh mana jumlah hafalan santri dengan cara santri menyetorkan hafalannya di hadapan ustadz/ustadzah. Hasil evaluasi eksternal menunjukkan, bahwa masyarakat merasa bersyukur, gembira dan senang dengan keberadaan Surau Tahfidzul Qur’an Mushalla Firdaus ini.
