Abstract

This research aims to analyze the superior food commodities in Nganjuk Regency. The results of this study are expected to be able to become a reference in regional economic development through the priority development of superior food crop commodities in Nganjuk Regency. The data used in this study are secondary data including data on the value of food commodity production for 10 years starting from 2014-2023. The food commodities studied include rice, corn, soybeans, peanuts, cassava, shallots, and cayenne pepper. The data analysis methods used are Location Quotient and Shift Share Analysis, the results of the two analyses will be combined into criteria for determining superior food commodities. The results of this study indicate that corn, shallots, and cayenne pepper are the first and second superior commodities in several districts in Nganjuk Regency. Rice, soybeans, peanuts, and cassava became the second and third superior commodities in several sub-districts in Nganjuk Regency.

Abstract

Cepoko Village, Jombang Regency, is one of the rice production centers that produces large amounts of husk waste. So far, the waste has been burned or discarded, causing environmental problems and failing to provide added value to the community. This service activity aims to empower farmer groups by utilising rice husk waste to produce environmentally friendly board particles. The methods used include problem identification, technical training, production assistance, and participatory evaluation. The production process involves shredding the husk, mixing adhesive materials, pressing, and drying. The results of the activity demonstrate an increase in the community's understanding and technical skills in converting waste into products of economic value. The resulting board particles have the potential to be developed as alternative building materials. This program also has an impact on the growth of environmental awareness and the opening of local, resource-based business opportunities. This activity proves that appropriate technological approaches combined with participatory empowerment can encourage socio-economic transformation at the village level. Abstract

Increasing the production of products needed by customers and the marketing mix is the foundation in a product marketing to disseminate products and be increasingly recognized by the public. This study aims to examine the production and marketing of glutinous corn at UPT Agribusiness Development. This research was conducted in November 2023 at UPT Agribusiness Development. The research method applied is the trend analysis method approach and descriptive qualitative with data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the development trend of glutinous corn production in UPT Agribusiness Development tends to fluctuate from 2020-2023, the marketing mix strategy implemented by UPT Agribusiness development uses the 7P method, namely there are innovative products, appropriate prices, strategic places, creative and targeted promotions, quality of people / HR, processes, and complete physical evidence. It can be concluded that the application of the right marketing mix strategy can increase the production and sales volume of sticky corn products.

Abstract

Pertanian berkelanjutan menuntut upaya pengurangan penggunaan pupuk kimia yang berdampak negatif terhadap lingkungan dan kesuburan tanah. Salah satu alternatif ramah lingkungan adalah pupuk organik yang berasal dari limbah peternakan, seperti kotoran kambing. Kegiatan pelatihan yang dilaksanakan di Balai Penyuluhan Pertanian (BPP) Porong ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani dalam mengolah kotoran kambing menjadi pupuk organik. Metode yang digunakan meliputi sosialisasi, demonstrasi pembuatan pupuk, serta pembagian sampel hasil fermentasi. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai dampak negatif pupuk kimia serta manfaat penggunaan pupuk organik, yang ditandai dengan antusiasme peserta dalam praktik langsung dan niat untuk menerapkannya secara mandiri. Pelatihan ini mendorong terjadinya perubahan perilaku dalam pengelolaan limbah ternak, serta memperkuat kesadaran petani terhadap pentingnya praktik pertanian ramah lingkungan.
